We stayed in Pearce's Cottage for 2 nights, and it was a perfect stay. The ambience of the cottage was lovely and extremely comfortable. I only wish we could have stayed longer.

Truly stunning building and grounds. Recommend dining in - excellent food. A fantastic bath in the well presented loft room. Staff were very accommodating to dietary requirements

Very relaxing environment with the perfect combination of old and new. The hotel experience makes you feel like you are an early settler entering an inn. The dining space offers a quaint and personal feeling which makes it easier to connect and always remember the amazing meal. Breakfast is available with accomdation and I strongly encourage it. It is perfect for everyone and includes a yummy granola. The cottages are much larger than you think. I stayed in Murphetts which could easily do two families and offers all the comforts and perks of being at home with the benefits of superb accomodation.

An unexpected treasure 10 minutes from Launceston. The attic room has a bathroom to die for and is beautifully and stylishly done, with lovely linens and Molton Brown toiletries. We ordered a platter which was generous and delicious, and a lovely continental breakfast was provided. Highly recommended.

Beautifully restored historic inn with wonderful gardens and entertainment areas. We stayed in The Loft, a lovely private room with lots of light and space. Lovely decor and fittings and a perfect breakfast hamper each day.
We dined on their in house restaurant on the second night, after a cheese and meat platter in front of the fire on the first. The food was perfect, eaten in the small and comfortable dining room, with great staff.
The Inn is close to Launceston and Deloraine, with heaps to do in the local area. Or like we did, you can just stay in bed and enjoy the breakfast supplies in room!

My siblings and I recently had a get-together meal at the Red Feather Inn, and it was one of the most pleasant dining experiences I have ever had. The food was just amazing, the chef fabulous, and the room in which we dined was beautiful. Well worth a culinary stop-in. We will definitely all be back.

A secret in Hadspen. We booked the restaurant for Dinner as we were not staying here and were impressed by the staff's level of attentiveness to all of the diners and the quality of the food was first class.we will definitely be back.

A perfect overnight stay. The Library Room is our favourite. I wish we could have stayed for two. The staff went out of their way to make us feel like we were very important and valued guests. The gardens, the buildings, the decor, all absolutely gorgeous. Dinner was definitely a highlight. We will return and would highly recommend Red Feather Inn to anyone looking for a special experience.

Beautiful hotel, an easy 10 minute drive from Launceston. An English garden oasis with a simple but tasty breakfast. We had dinner one evening and it was a lovely home cooked meal - we enjoyed it a lot!

Nice place but let down by its poor necessities.
Bed was horrible - hard, squeaky and wobbly.
Bathroom lacked space to put toiletries on.
Roof leaked water and dripped all night. Had to put flannel on ground to stop noise.
Toilet dripped on and off through the night.
Has potential but nowhere near it yet.

Wonderful stay in the library room. Our second visit and hopefully not our last. We love this place and it’s beautiful gardens.

Beautiful place, pretty grounds and lovely Library suite bedroom. This place is, that's trying to be something out of Provence. But sadly that's all I can say about this place, it has the looks but no substance, or at least that was out experience.

We had booked a nights stay here before flying back to Melbourne after a weeks' stay in Tasmania. We chose it because of their "award winning" gourmet restaurant - which they decided to close as it was a bank holiday! Yes you heard it right. And we were only informed a few days beforehand even though we booked the room and restaurant booking many months prior. In all our travels around the world, we've never stayed anywhere where they closed their hotel/restaurant on a bank holiday! Why be in the hospitality industry? !

We were offered a platter in our room of what they refer to as "chacuterie" to make up for the cancellation, but sadly it didn't taste or look anything like real charcuterie. So perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that their restaurant wasn't open.

Also we were told to collect the hotel key from a safety box. Again this was most bizarre and we've never experienced anything like this before in a hotel! We had to log all our suitcases ourselves up the stairs. I have huge mobility restrictions so was chocked to find stairs too! If you're going to charge 5 star prices, then you best match it with excellent service but sadly we experienced none of that here.

The room and bathroom could also do with a deep clean as there was dust and cobwebs everywhere which is also unacceptable. We sneezed and sneezed and I had to take extra steroids to keep an asthma attack at bay!
There weren't enough towels for us both and they could also do with being replaced with their bath robes as they looked so old and tatty and felt like sandpaper.

To continue with the disappointments, breakfast is only served between 8.30-9.30 am! When my husband went to the restaurant to check it out, considering we hadn't eaten anything for over 18 hours and being famished, there was literally only toast and cereal. Not even "special" bread or "special" cereal" - no your bog standard supermarket toast and cereal! We couldn't' wait to get out and find some decent food in Launceston - which by the way is a good 20 minutes away from here and there really is NOTHING in this village!

As a comparison, we stayed at the 5 star Crown Towers hotel in Melbourne in a deluxe room on the 19th floor overlooking the bay with incredible breakfast for exactly the same price as our night here!

All I can say is that if as a European, you're after a luxury foodie experience in Tassie, then avoid this place at all cost! They really ought to learn about luxury customer service if they want to pretend to be high end, but sadly they're nothing but a very pretty B&B without any service nor substance! This was the most disappointing stay in an otherwise fabulous Tasmania. If you want real luxury in Tassie, go to Saffire or Freycinet Lodge - they really know what they're doing and have proper gourmet restaurants too.

Lovely place, very well equipped and a beautiful lawn in the compound. Lots of birds come by in the morning.
