Queens Domain Community Hub reviews
11Very nice park for kids but needs to keep eyes on kids as there is no fence around the park and the ground is not suitable for little kids as it’s very rough.
We booked the site today and got Andrew to cook pizzas for a family event. Andrew was knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, and helped us set ourselves up so that the whole event ran smoothly and fuss-free. Great location, great way to run a large catered event for a lot of people. Highly recommend.
Great park for older and younger children.
Under cover bbqs. Clean toilets.
There is a water wheel and small catchment play area for children. So it pays to have a spare change of clothes packed with you.
Playing hide and seek here is easy, lots of structures of both natural and constructed to use.
The playground backs onto a sports field and pathways.
It's a great area, unless a wood fired oven is used. Exposing children at the playground to lots of smoke, produced while the oven is in use, is a really bad idea.
Excellent playground for all ages. Bit more adventurous than most which is great. BBQ's are easy to use and reliable. Lots of seating.
Best place to bring kids, do BBQ and have some fun, get fresh and enjoy the view. Its close to city with adequate parking space.
What a lovely community space. Kids loved playing in the playground. Mum went running around the domain. I enjoyed looking at the architectural features and planning on what toppings that I will bring next time for the communal pizza ovens.
Fantastic space created by the Hobart City Council. An engaging and environmentally friendly playground with kids in mind, a number of built spaces complete with BBQ's + the highly acclaimed wood fired pizza ovens.
New faciltity with excellent BBQ, food prep and undercover seating for outdoor meals. There is a water fountain and children's playground attached. It is next to the playing fields and sports fields in the domain. You can also take a walk on the nearby bush paths up to the lookout. This is an excellent facility.
A great new facility for everyone. 2 WOODFIRED ovens. Rock climbing. Slides, an amazing swing. The 2nd last one left in the world. Great toilet facilities. Plenty of shade, great paths everywhere. They even have a separate r ll evtric BBQ area as well! Plus the whole are is wheel chair friendly. A must visit.
