Provincial Interiors reviews
25Heaps of nice rustic wares to discover at the Jardin Room. You never know what you'll find there.
This store helped me decide to move to Tasmania from France. The prices are fabulous, the stock excellent, the merchandising and the grandeur so theatrical and delicious.
Thank you so much to the creators of this wonderland of wanderlust. Moroccan wares to boot. God I love Morocco. This shop really is fabulous.
I'm living for the bad reviews here. With the taste spectrum and deliciousness of objects and merchandising, the owner can be as rude as she likes as far as I'm concerned.
I used to shop at Parterre Gardens in Woollahra and recommend going there if you want a zero charm school experience with ticket prices times 10 minimum.
I have bought both in-store and online. From fountains to dish brushed, I have found the service excellent. On the odd occasion when the owner has been busy and ignored me, if I've found them closed because of a shipment or illness– I've taken a 'c'est la vie' attitude and not been deeply personally offended.
This is not a museum. This is a stunning retail enterprise these vendors have taken a lifetime of skill, networking, travel, taste and fossicking (understatement) to present. Some appreciation for the skillset it takes to bring this to life is in order.
The shop owners (sorry I can't remember your name! My deepest apologies) deserve praise for bringing this mountain of wares to us in Tasmania and less general critique for minor infringements for the delicate ego of selected customers' experiences.
The owner was extremely rude and told my young daughter off for taking a photo. Happy to abide by the rules…but when the sign out the front is the size of a pea it is hard. Owner needs to focus on fixing her attitude, customer service and signage rather than having a go at people. We will never return and wouldn’t recommend going there.
The shop itself was really good, it was the woman working in the shop out the back that ruined our experience. She was one of the rudest people I’ve ever come across. Why work in customer service, if you’d rather not service customers?
Beautiful goods, extortionate prices, execrable customer service - given the abundance of other feedback that's been provided here, I'm surprised they haven't bothered to take it on board.
What a delightful & fabulous place. So many wonderful goods, we may have to go back with a truck to buy more goods.
Travelled from Hobart, specifically to visit and purchase an item to find the place once again closed without notice, even though opening hours state that they are open on a Saturday. This is the second time I have had this happen, ends up being a two hour wasted drive, not good for tourists, gives Tassie a bad name, very unprofessional way to run a business
Dec 2021. The Jardin Room and Provincial Interiors is a wonderful one stop venue for most of your garden design needs. With a range of replica and antique items, you'll be certain to find something for your outdoor space. There isn't a delivery service, so be sure you arrive prepared.
We thought that the lady working here may have just been having a bad day, given her grumpy and unfriendly demeanor, but reading the comments on here, it seems as though this may be how she greets most people. Which was sad as I am a new local and this is my first time visiting this business.
Love the Jardin room, so lucky to have such a wonderful store in Tassie with such beautiful pieces.
We thought the shop was fantastic. Beautiful and interesting items and we had no complaints at all about the service. We'll be going back.
One of the most gorgeous stores and outdoor spaces in Australia and the owner has an extraordinary knowledge and passion for design - one of my favourite places to visit.
I concur with the sentiment of the other low star reviews. The person working here doesn't appear to like customers.
Someone has made a big effort to create a beautiful atmosphere in this garden centre but the dark headed woman who was working there was surly, unhelpful and just plain rude.
I am interstate and purchased two items from the business using email. The service was great: extremely helpful and accommodating. Items were packed very well. Couldn't have asked or expected more. Very happy indeed.
Went there today to purchase a few pots recommended by a friend, then we met the shop lady/owner, rude is an understatement, unhelpful, very. Don't waste your time, most items were very over priced, probably to make up for the lack of customer service from the lady running the sales prevention department.
Been there twice, bought two excellent finds at very reasonable prices. The shop lady was very helpful and even ran to get the requested item out of the warehouse when I said I wanted to buy it.
Was enjoying searching for items for our home and was keen on a few items, when told would have to leave our well behaved border collie at the entrance, which she would be out of site to us as there was a cat somewhere on site, our dog was on a lead. Never had this treatment before, been into many stores including antique stores with our dog.
This is probably the most stunning antique, garden and home wares shop I have visited. The products are expensive, but carefully selected, they definitely transform your home! It is a little slice of France in Tasmania.
I couldn’t agree more with the other low star reviews. We were welcomed warmly but when decided to wander off the lady serving us was incredibly rude and annoyed at the fact that we didn’t buy.
I wanted to take a photograph of the building and she approached me in the most rude manner to say I couldn’t take photos. Meanwhile a lady who bought one or two chairs posted every photo she could on social media. Other people in town where so nice and went out of their ways to serve us but this place is ruining their efforts!
I can’t believe more than a year has passed since the other bad reviews have been published and she is still carrying on the same way. Someone needs to stop her!
