Prospect Fish Shop

Always have great service, decent sized fish fillets, seafood is fresh and big in size, never tough. Now they have churros too! Super crispy yet still soft in the middle, great value for money and actually taste like my home made churros.

Slow service if you walk in, but only because it's popular. The cooked product is better than my local IGA but not the best I've had.

When we go there if the people think there product doesn't cook up properly they throw in replacement pieces. Always been good.

Great price fish and chips and really efficient service. Not sodden with great and tasted very fresh. Feed the family of 8 for $80 pretty good and heaps of chips left over.

Order was sitting on the bench when called to collect it. Got it home and food was cold and items missing. Lacking good customer service. Will not be returning

Staff are very friendly, they do decent sized meals the price is as expected compared to the rest of Launceston there's plenty of parking out the back as well so there's no being rushed feeling, definitely worth a try if your driving through

It's the worst service I seen phone order was told 10 to 15 min got there the chips was cook.waited for a another 10 min for the hamburger. I asked them to cancel the hamburger because the chips was getting cold they said they will give a credit for the hamburger would not give me cash back and the time before I order a steak with the lot but they gave it to someone else who ordered a hamburger had to wait for them to cook another steak did not say sorry just made wait not good

Fish and chips mediocre at best. Batter gluggy and chips very average. Staff lovely but I wouldn’t go back. Very disappointing.

Called in and seen the lovely friendly staff at prospect fish shop and got some chips and the lemon pepper flake.oh wow that lemon pepper flake is to die for and makes a lovely change from just the normal flake (that is also lovely) we will definitely be back for more.

Ordered based on previous reviews, extremely disappointed. Charged us 14 pieces of flake instead of 14 fried dim sims. Repeated the ordered to us and repeated 14 FRIED dim sims. Rang shop to recterfy overcharge and completely wrong order. Initially helpful and apologised and stated "oh it was dim sims". I was put on hold for them to discuss with owner and then swifly hung up on. Rang back and was told it was my fault and the order was repeated to us. Sorry, we are from Victoria and always say fried or steamed dim sims. Incompetent, over priced, poor chip portions and terrible service. $180 later on the worst fish and chips I have ever had. Be warned, go somewhere else.

Food is 5 star but a message to the young blonde girl how do you sleep at night abusing a older co worker it was disgusting going off at her for not serving me yet the lady was on the ball served me and done the payment the funny part is if you actually done your job instead of worrying about everyone else's I wouldn't of had to wait so long back to fraggles I'd SACK YOU

Saying that the level of customer service received on my recent visit was poor would be a compliment.

Absolutely terrible even our cat wouldn't eat the flake thats if it was flake, 48.00 would rather have had spent it in the pokies not happy at all.

There are only two fish and chips shops that I would recommend in the Launceston area and this is one of the two. Most others serve undersized and overbattered fish. Happily the Prospect shop does not. Good food and I feel like I'm getting my money's worth.

The best takeaway in Launceston. Place does get wuite packed thats why its best to pre-order. The food is exceptionally fresh and hot. Love it

We did some research on net to find a good fish and chips shop. Decided to go and try prospect fish and chips on Tuesday afternoon 21/01/20. We bought a combo of flakes, blue granidier, and flathead. Disappointingly very Smelly Fish That my wife and both kids started feeling nauseous after the first bite. We had to throw them out.the lady serving was seemingly was very dis -interested and Looking stressed out with no good customer service skills.never again

It won't be mistaken for a gourmet restaurant, but really nice fish and the burger patties seem "home made" - it's our regular now

Best food, best customer satisfaction, great price! This place has my loyalty, 3x times I've been and everytime satisfaction. Highly recommended.
