Prince of Wales Bay Marina

I went there with my partner to a Coffee and Car meet. The little Cafe there has the nicest toasted sandwiches (a little pricey but that can be overlooked because they were delicious). We did takeaway, but indoor and outdoor seating available. The location is easy to get to off the Brooker highway, and ample parking. I don't understand much about cars but they were done up very well.

Friendly atmosphere and a social club
Marina is growing so exciting stages are happening ie a fuel dock and I think a restaurant/brewery? Looking awesome anyway.
We have enjoyed our stay. We are close enough to goods and services yet away from it all so you get jobs done.
Situated in an industrial estate so that is a consideration for some for example dust and lots of vehicles.
Got to get in early at cafe to beat the Fluro Tops at break time …. So they don’t buy out the yummy food.
GREAT MARINA

Excellent large modern marina.
Not a lot of parking given how big the marina is, however, still some parking.
About 10min drive to the city.

I have a friend who moores his boat there, its close to town. The fees are reasonable and they have toilet/showers and Laundry facilities. People are friendly and helpful, ice location.

Marina is ok but located in an industrial part of the river. No issue with that in general. Security is good, facilities more than adequate. Staff friendly until you have a dispute about your power consumption than the tone changes drastically and there is no more customer service. Very sad to have experienced this as otherwise I would have been happy to recommend this Marina.

The marina is in an industrial area but it’s a relatively short walk to public transport and the courtesy car is available for shopping runs so we’re always happy to stay here. The rates are very reasonable, the facilities are good - and are being upgraded at the moment - and the staff are always helpful. Yes you pay for power but it’s not unreasonable at all.

There’s plenty of car parking and the locals are friendly! Night time security patrols the site and it’s secure gate access after hours.

Whitworths and other retailers like Supercheap, Mitre 10, Jaycar are close by as are a host of other trades. They are all within walking distance.

Look forward to visiting again.

Marina is nice, not a great location in the middle of industrial estate. Dust from surrounding industry is a problem. Not a great atmoshere for a marina and very limited carparking.

Amenities great. Courtesy car is wonderful and the boat festival courtesy bus was a great gesture.

Safe marina, secure parking, close to 70ton cradle lift and most of Hobart Marie based industries actually nextdoor to trans Atlantic record breaking cat builder Incat (spare $50m see bean head), clean bathrooms, extra$ for live aboard. Long way to shopping and public transport. Bicycle good idea. Extra couple hrs steam rtn. Suit longer stays, short stays Hobart ports or yacht clubs. I have lived here 4 years (2018). Definitely safest place to be when 70knt Sw and 5-7m swell rolls right up river.book Xmas and wooden boat festival.

Great Marina, about to berth a boat. Friendly & professional staff. All the amenities needed for short or long stays plus a cafe!
