Port Arthur Historic Site Gift Shop reviews
7Oh dear, how many other people wasted $13 on a pack of female convict playing cards? They have been printed back to front. This means. When you have the cards in your hand to play, you can’t see what the value of each card is. I phoned them to talk about this and had a lovely young man talking to me. He fed me a story that most female convicts were left handed hence the cards are for left handed people. What a load of Cods Wallop. Such a shame as they are beautiful cards.
Not a huge selection, but enough to buy something as a gift (I'm picky) the reason for the 5 star rating is the lovely, funny lady Tina and her adorable possum thank you for ending our day at Port Arthur with a good belly laugh!
I would’ve happily given 5 stars for the beautifully set out gift shop…. Had it not been for the rude lady behind the counter that served me on Thursday. I kindly asked for a plastic bag and with such a rude response she replied “no you can’t have a bag”. This would have to be the worse customer experience I’ve ever encountered. Other than that, all other staff were lovely at the historic site.
Bought a port of arthur cup, not even a month later there is a huge crack around the handle part! This is disgusting quality and it cost me $15 how disappointing! Never will buy from here again!
Great gift shop with a different range of souvenirs. A lot of unique souvenirs that you wouldn't find in other shops. The staff were very helpful in suggesting places to visit in the Port Arthur area as well as having a good knowledge of the history of the region. Special thanks to Tina and the man who was working with her. I've forgotten his name, glasses and silver/grey hair. Their advice made for an amazing couple of days in Port Arthur.
A beautiful Gift Shop.
Great range of products.
Friendly and helpful staff.
