Very interesting and fun place to visit. Learnt a lot and had some laughs too. Very enthusiastic owner/founder with a lot of knowledge to share. Great displays.
Definitely recommended for both young and old.

Really fascinating and unusual place which gave us a great deal of information we didn't know, plus quite a few laughs. The lovely owner was friendly and helpful and I'd have loved to spend longer than the hour we had there.

Our family loved the Pooseum. We found the owner extremely friendly and a wealth of knowledge. We took turns reading the text as a family, enjoyed the hands on aspects and definitely learnt a lot. Definitely worth a visit.

After reading many reviews, I feel it's important to add-
The Pooseum is a museum. Most small children do not thrive in museums and quickly voice their lack of enjoyment. This has absolutely nothing to do with the owner and everything to do with the cognitive development of small children. My daughter is 9 and my son is 13, their attention span is longer and behaviour better; so they found education and enjoyment at the Pooseum.
Also the museum is privately funded. The owner has sourced all resources and information herself. So, no the museum isn't overly large but it is full to the brim with interesting information. The only way small businesses will be sustainable in our current climate is if we spend our time and money visiting them.

This is a small but informative gem! There is lots to learn and lots of high quality interactive screens. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

Quite pricey for a single room display. I'd like to see the concept further developed or the prices dropped

Absolute disgrace of an establishment… I was in the little house and after 5 mins we had an unsettled baby who was crying for a couple of minutes and the weird German lady got frustrated with me and kicked me out.would not recommend at all. It’s 1 room with a few pictures of poo. Not worth the money at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I was there for over an hour. There is so much to see and experience. Videos, quizzes, misters cupboards etc.
So professional and clean.
Thanks, Brent

A very well thought through museum in a quaint little town. The owner is lovely to chat to and was able to answer any questions we had and was delightfully enthusiastic during our visit.

Never thought I would be rating a museum on poo - but it was really interesting and informative and we all need to learn to talk about this more easily. It is fun too - the best sh*tshow we have been to!) A must if you are in Richmond.

An informative and fun way to spend a good hour and a half. High quality private museum, would recommend.

Very informative and interesting, could have added a bit more fun to it.
A bit pricey to enter since it's just one room.

Fantastic place. Very interesting and informative. Karin, the owner, is so knowledgeable about all things POO and the creatures depositing it!

We only came to Richmond by accident as our plans were changed due to a flight change. Glad we did as it's a beautiful town and the Pooseum was the first place we visited. It had so many interesting facts and the lady who runs it was lovely. After visiting I thought about this place each day I was in Tasmania when I saw various animal droppings! Probably best suited for teens and adults. Who knew poo could be so interesting? !

A really cute hidden gem in Tasmania. Karin (the curator) is an excellent host, she is informative and attentive and knew all things poo! Really recommend this small cute exhibition if you're after something fun and different.

The owner is rude, arrogant and aggressive towards children. Would definately not recommend. She grabbed at my 3yo as well as telling her off twice in 10-15 mins for being excited about the exhibits. Then lied about it on the review I left on Facebook saying I was slandering her. Highly disappointed in every way.

Very interesting? One doesn't realise how much there is to know about 'poo' and how much can be learnt from it. Karen is a veritable source of information. You can have a laugh too.

Thanks for your hospitality Karin. A great little place you set up. We found it very informative and could clearly see the effort you put in.

It was very great to have some additional lessons from you.
