Pennicott Wilderness Journeys reviews
36We enjoyed a 3 hour wilderness cruise with our group of 25,13 kids and 12 adults. Cain and Dayna were fantastic, informative and fun, and we saw so many amazing things. Definitely worthwhile, would highly recommend.
Incredible experience. Very funny, knowledgeable and professional team. Will never forget the Tasman Island tour. Thanks guys.
The coast line and the boat are awesome! The guides were the real letdown. I spotted dolphins near by and called out, skipper just gave me a thumbs up and kept underway, not even slowing down for a look, then at the end of the trip poked fun at me for other guests to laugh, very unprofessional. More so, if you are going to try and tell people facts about the local wildlife, at least know what you are talking about. Several things said were simply false.
Lastly the coach bus seems unnecessary considering most guests pass the turn off to the dock.
Great boat, great business, great part of the world, overall boring.
The Tasman island cruise was amazing. The scenery of the cliffs and tasman island are some of the best we have seen. The boat is so fun! A must do in Tassie!
Great trip would recommend you go on one staff are friendly and helpful it was our second boat trip going back for another over the warmer weather but stunning scenery
I went with my family today and loved it, learnt a lot about the geology, geography, sealife and general info on the area whilst experiencing the landscapes along with seals, dolphins and bluefin tuna jumping out of the water. There had been a few sightings of humpbacks and orcas but we didn't get to see them today - although we did see a pod of dolpins getting chased by one and there were sightings close by. Our guides Chris (and a lady that I missed the name of, apologies?) were fantastic and very informative. A great way to see and learn about the coastline without bringing a boat. Only thing missing was a rod.definitely worth the price if you get the opportunity do it. Bring a camera!
Fabulous three hour cruise this morning. Thank you ladies for a very informative commentary.
Great day out, awesome guides Chris and Anna were amazing, your was very well organised.a must for anyone
Absolutely awesome! Seen dolphins, seals and lots of birdlife. Tour guide Lily had the best attitude and the skippa (appologies, I've forgotten your name) was crazy behind the wheel! Legends the both of you! Thank you heaps!
We had an amazing Tasman Island cruise tour with Nick and Loki. Saw heaps of sea birds and dolphins. Learnt a lot about the history of Tasman island and the rock formations and visited some beautiful caves. Nick and Loki made sure we were having fun and the same time kept us safe.
Did the Tasman Island cruise today, had the best experience and highly recommend it! Lachie and his team did a great job of making sure we saw a whale, a dolphin super pod and seals etc. Thanks guys, our family had a great day out
Amazing tour company - we have been on three of their boat rides (Bruny island cruise twice, Tasman island cruise once). Amazing scenery. Highly professional outfit - the team knows their stuff, making the experience even more memorable! Rides are exciting, but nothing that kids can’t handle! Remember to dress for cold weather - it can get quite chilly on the boats.
Great trip - the team are so knowledgeable. We learnt a lot about the geology and marine life. Being able to view the cliffs from the water was amazing and we saw dolphins and a whale in the distance too. A great 3 hours from start to finish.
I did the Tasman Island Cruise and it was amazing. You will see the Natural beauty of the cost of Tasmania! It was a very nice day! Definetely recomend going for!
Amazing way to travel to Port Arthur and see the coastline. Saw whales, dolphins, seals and water birds. Plus had great fun.
Great tour guides and enjoyable experience for people wanting to bask in the landscapes of the Tasman peninsula.
One of the best experiences I've done. Jurassic Park vibes. Chris & Izzy were great tour guides - we felt safe, had fun, learnt a lot and were blown away by mother nature.
Worth every cent! We had cloudy, windy, rainy weather and it was still incredible. Chris was an absolute hoot with a passion for this beautiful part of the world that was apparent. His and Will's knowledge made for a truly awe inspiring trip. Along the journey to Cape Pillar and Tasman Island, we saw pods of dolphins, albatross and seals but seeing The Blade up close was like a religious experience. Nosing all the way into caves with those gargantuan, ancient monoliths above was something I'll never forget. Yes you'll get wet (they provide a snazzy waterproof covering), cold (wear layers), and you'll have to hang on (we were up the front) but it all added to the experience. You honestly can't go wrong with this company.
A brilliant experience! Very well run tour with great information, wonderful views and wildlife. Highly recommend this tour.
Cannot rate this highly enough. Absolutely loved the Tasman peninsula boat tour. My parents were gifted tickets and the whole family decided to tag along - we couldn’t have made a better decision. Ben and Lily hosted a wonderful afternoon - they were friendly, knowledgable, and entertaining. They were also so attentive and caring checking in on everyone throughout the trip. FYI the company provides a large waterproof warm coat for the journey. Tasman peninsula offers stunning scenery and we were fortunate to see a range of wildlife including seals, dolphins, and bird life. You also get views that you cannot get from land. Can get a little bumpy out at sea but nothing that some prophylactic sea sickness meds couldn’t fix (some ginger tablets were provided) - we all felt fine for the whole trip. Pack warm clothes and wear closed toes shoes as there is some spray that lands on the boat. People with back issues should sit towards the rear of the boat. This company is also very connected to conservation efforts. Make sure you book a boat tour when you visit the Tasman coast!
