82 Love the tour! Worth every penny!
Zen was an awesome guide! Highly recommend the whole tour and experience is the must visiting Brunt Island!
My partner and I attended the Tasmanian Seafood Seduction tour on 'Sea dragon' with Hamish and Isabelle. Hamish and Isabelle were fantastic hosts that were very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating to all of our requests. We were able to have what felt like unlimited oysters (raw and cooked) salmon (sashimi and smoked), charcuterie board with fresh fruit and great pesto, abalone (sashimi and cooked), lobster (sashimi and cooked) and sea urchin / uni. We had also had plenty of water, beers, ciders, white and red wines to last us the entire day. To cap it off Hamish and Isabelle were kind enough to take us in amongst a couple of yachts that were finishing their Sydney to Hobart yacht race. Special thanks to our hosts for a fantastic experience. I'll be coming back with my friends and family in future, highly recommended!
Friendly, fun and not overpriced. The tour was incredible and we were extremely lucky with the weather! Heading out into the Southern Ocean was so exciting and we saw Albatross, seals and a glimpse of a shy whale. Highly recommend this tour.
This is a very impressive company. We did the Bruny Island trip. Picked at Kettering by Jamie driving the coach and taken to Adventure Bay. What an asset this champion is. Great commentary. Our boat was captained by Ben and Michael and could not fault their enthusiasm for the local area and the care for their charges. Sandy at the office was so helpful and a pleasure to deal with. Then Sarah took care of us with the biggest smile in the restaurant. What an amazing work culture you must have here at Pennicott's. Boat captains even clearing and serving in the restaurant to help out. That is what we call fantastic staff. Thank you to all
We did the Bruny island day tour and had Paul as our tour guide and he was super nice and very knowledgeable about Hobart and Bruny island.
The day was so much fun and we got so many interesting facts that we wouldn't have known otherwise.
We got heaps of little tasters from every place we went to in Bruny island.
The cheese and the oysters were so good.
So glad we did this tour, great value for Money.
Did full day Port Arthur Tour. Kieran was professional, fun, prompt and gave some interesting facts along the way& a day trip great opportunity to see more of Hobart& surrounds. The full day at Port Arthur was excellent, included a short walking tour& harbour cruise & remainder of time to explore solo. Needed every minute of that time to see everything. It was interesting and thought provoking. The full day tour with Pennicott was excellent and thoroughly recommend it.
Fun experience! Went to tasman island adventure and was worth it. Tour guide was amazing. Great cruise adventure, saw beautiful creatures amd landscapes along our cruise!
Staff were friendly, funny & knowledgeable, prioritising safety and comfort. Great tour of the beautiful wildlife and scenery. Highly recommend!:)
We were so impressed with the customer service from Pennicott Wilderness Journeys - the customer facing representatives were amazing.
We were scheduled to join our large group on a boat tour of Bruni Island but were unwell on the day and were unable to join on the day. To be certain we weren't passing any illness to the rest of the group we did not join the tour. With Covid a continuing concern we didn't want to put anyone at risk. Despite the fact we had paid in advance, we were fully refunded without any hesitation, even though the company was not obliged to do so and we are very appreciative. We were also accidentally charged for another member of our group and that charge was also quickly refunded once the issue was clarified.
Most importantly, our group had a fabulous time on their tour and all agreed it was a great experience. We look forward to joining next time and thank the team at Pennicott for their understanding and flexibility - we will be recommending Pennicott to our friends travelling to Tasmania in the future.
Lovely 2.5hr tour. A real bonus to see loads of dolphins in the bay. Katie was very adaptable and knowledgeable.
"I recently went on the Iron Pot Cruise with Pennicott Wilderness Journeys Hobart and had the most wonderful time! Our “Clifton Beach local” guide Luke was incredibly knowledgeable and made the whole experience so enjoyable. The scenery was breathtaking- take your prime birdwatching lens to get some good close-ups of Black- Faced Cormorants. I highly recommend this tour to anyone looking for an adventure in Tasmania if you only have a few hours to spare! "
Highly recommend 3hrs Bruny island cruise. Both guide tours were called Kate and they were super fun and informative and it’s a great way to explore the island. Definitely bring some layers as it gets pretty windy!
My family of 4 went on the Iron Pot Cruise 27 Dec 2022 and had a wonderful time. We were lucky to have Rob Pennicott as Captain - a most humorous, personable and entertaining fella. He knows hundreds of interesting stories about Tassie and his water home from his early days as a cray fisherman. Happy to share them all and still relay them with a hint of 'new story' excitement. We were out for closer to 4 hours than the assigned 3 and had absolutely no objections. We also stopped at the base of a sheer cliff before Rob whistled to the house above so his mum and dad could come out on their verandah for a wave. How's that for a family business!
We were on a new boat that comfortably accommodated 12 people in its generous seats, all with unobstructed views. (Also has a toilet on board.) It was such a wonderful day that most of us stood at the back or on the front deck. Preliminary info sent by the company is comprehensive and clear. It is VERY helpful for those new to Hobart with a need to find parking close by. Suggest if you go for the 10.00am tour you get in no late than 8.00, park the car, have breakfast in one of the many pleasant places nearby and mosey on to the departure point around 9.45.
One final, laudible point: Pennicott Tours donates a considerable proportion of its profits to its Foundation which initiates coastal conservation projects and educational programs. Forget KFC taking your money - let Rob have it instead for a much better cause. Thank you for a great day Pennicott Tours!
Iron pot cruise and Bruny Island, fantastic. Staff treat everyone like family, nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommend them.
A great alternative to staying over on Bruny. We enjoyed the trip. The bus was very comfortable and David our guide was funny and lighthearted whilst being extremely knowledgeable. The highlight for us was the honey they were the most informative and in our opinion had the best samples.
We did the Bruny Island bus tour! Such a nice relaxed tour! Our tour guide Alan was so great! Super knowledgeable and made every experience fun! Lunch was AMAZING! Our group all had the fish and chips and wow! The fish was so fresh and cooked perfectly! All the stops were great! Loved the honey shop! Really great tour to give you an overview of Bruny island. Thanks!
Amazing experience with knowledgable guides.a great way to see a lot if you only have a short amount of time.
We booked our return shuttles from Hobart to Port Arthur with Pennicott and had a great experience. Staff were friendly and very helpful. I had accidentally booked our return trip for the wrong date and without noticing. It was rescheduled straight away and without extra charges. Really appreciated the flexibility!
My wife and I have done the Wineglass Bay and Tasman Island Wilderness cruise. On both occassions we had great fun, the crews knowledge, sense of humour and attention to detail was excellent! Highly recommend them if you are visiting Tasmania!
Fantastic three hours well spent with very accomodating and knowledgeable guides. Great scenery with dolphins and seals spotted and have never experienced the Australian coastline from the sea side so close to fantastic sea cliffs and endless views. Everyone should see Southern Tasmania this way
