It’s cheap here if you pay for non-powered campsite here. Only $10 per person. It’s a great place for ocean views and can see penguins far on the rocks. There’s five of us and we paid for two nights - $100 total. I love the style of the caravan park here. People are peaceful and keep to themselves.

We decided to stay here for the night thinking that we would have a lovely time, especially because of the stunning, amazing views. However, I regret to say it but I do not recommend this place to anyone without amenities. They are practically none existent, having read previous reviews it sounds like the amenities have been under construction for quite some time. The males have only 1 working shower! In the ladies there were only 2/3 working and the doors are half way up the wall so I didn’t feel safe having a shower. None of this was communicated to us beforehand and we payed $45 for a powered site, $55 if you want a sea view! We felt that this was unreasonable due to the work being done. Until the work has been completed, we recommend you find somewhere else to stay, glad we were only there for the night!

Living here is wonderful. Very preachy place.
Close to penguin village. Ocean front camping/ van, powered sites.cabins.friendly.close to beach, dog walking allowed.
Amenities, ok.
Laundry available.
Costs reasonable.

Absolutely stunning location, walking distance to CBD. Well that's all this park has got going for it! We paid $45 a night for a powered site in off-peak.
They're no sheltered camp kitchen facilities. The only amenities block has current renovations going on, however it seems that work has been halted.
The women's block only has three working shower cubicles out of six and the men's block only has one working shower cubicle out of six and this shower block caters for the whole Caravan Park.
The park is extremely rundown and for the premium price you pay for a site, we would recommend you to continue driving to the next coastal town.
At this time of the year we are getting three nights pay for two in most other parks we staying at. There were no discounts here and no facilities.

Stayed 2 nights in this beautifully located park in a wonderful and cute little town. However I think the amenities cleaner must be off sick, surely the manager could have at least emptied the toilet waste bin till cleaner got better. Amenities being renovated.sure.but the showers that are functional continually leak and tumble dryer by managers on omission is not drying! Such a beautiful location and such a pity about the poor facilites msnagement - such a shame. Ps we left one day earlier than intended. Loved the caravan patk outlook and the township of Penguin, but not park facilities

The three small cabins have penguins living underneath them and will keep U up all night because they are noisy AF. The bedding was nice and clean and near new but the house keeping was a bit slack on the towel but only one out of 4 days so could let that slide. The male amenities building is in desperate need of renovation, looks like they are in the process, 3 out of 4 showers have been striped so there is only one working shower. Grate spot for caravan as it is Wright on the edge of the water

Stayed 4 nights with our caravan, beautiful ocean views, easy access to beach and close to main shopping area.
Clean and tidy amenities and ground.
Caretaker and staff are very helpful and friendly.

Hired a cabin for 1 night, penguins live underneath the cabins, the night we were there they were very active! Was kind of quirky having them under us.

Don't waste your money! It was the most expensive site we paid for in our trip. And we didn't pay the extra$10 for a sea view! It is so run down and amenities have been built as cheaply as possible! Concrete floors, missing tiles, mismatched taps etc. 3out of 5 showers were out of order! The only saving grace was the sea views

Checked in early & after 50minutes decided I didn’t want to stay…. Was declined refund of 2 nights accommodation…$45/ night for a powered site. Should be closed down as a public health risk. Council has no control over privately owned park but said that site is going to be redeveloped so obviously there is no care or responsibility in providing value for money or customer service.
I have been in Tasmania for 2 weeks & this was the most expensive caravan park that I have stayed in!
Not an asset to Tasmania tourism at all! Such a shame… it’s an awesome location.

Very average great views they say they are renovating but it doesn’t look like they’re in a hurry, for 45$ it’s a bit over priced

An absolute Golden Oldie caravan park. Doreen the caretaker always does an amazing job and the view is exceptional. Amenities are spotless and cleaned more than once a day. Do yourself a favour

Disappointed, paid $50 premium upfront site fee. We drove in and parked, nice grassy site and excellent sea views. That's all it has going for it. The amenities are appalling, so run down and dirty, 2 out of 5 showers were out of order. The whole park looks so unloved and needs urgent work done. We did our money and drove off, this park has such potential, it's a real shame.

Couldn't get any closer to the ocean! The Sea Breeze Cabin looks straight out into the Bass Strait! It's not flash, but it's clean and comfortable. And that view!

Its a bit dated, but they are fixing it up. The showers / toilets are clean, and the location is a must see. Parking is easy as well. Will be going back again.

Good place to base yourself around north. Some on going renovations hopefully the facilities will be much better when i am back next time.

Quiet campsite.
