15The Lotus Tree/centre doesn't have a working phone or email address, so when they charged me $79 for a $7.90 card, the only way to contact them was in person again.
Has a nice feel, good range of newage books. Nice variety of items, i like the lamps and the clothes. I like the lady and the items and the wide range of things to look at. Some nice small things handmade soap, incense, stones and a nice range of jewellery.
Beautiful store connected to coffee shop with delicious food!
Plenty of items of all sorts to pick from: books, clothes, crystals, decoration, candles, oils, incense, jewellery, gifts and more.
Easy to browse but hard to want to leave haha
Although the store is under the name of PADMALIGHT on maps, the sign outside actually says LOTUS TREE.
We found everything we were looking for and even more! I recommend
All things colourful and eclectic. I went for prayer flags but am impressed by their range of clothes and books.
I can always get the incense I love from here and I love to see what new things they have instore.
Who doesn't love spending time in this relaxing environment. Exploring crystals, books, and other one off pieces of silver jewellery etc.
Great variety of books, clothing, incense, candles and much more. Pop in, you'll be glad you did.
A beautiful place! Great choice of spiritual and ezoteric items. Lovely atmosphere and delightful staff. My go-to place when I am in Hobart.
Padmalight is definitely my favourite shop! It has the most beautiful decor and clothes i love it:)
From the Berkana bookshop in Launceston to padamalight in Hobart both these shops are legend. You will always find something unique in this cave of treasures. One of my favourite shops. Silk Road was another. That shop has since closed. Thumbprint these shops were Legend.
Beautiful shop! Perhaps more friendly to serve one person at a time, rather than 2 others being encouraged to jump queue.
Great.little in shop always something different to buy I love there bottles of perfumed oils plus soaps
I love Babylon Bookshop! The staff are super friendly and so helpful. They have such a beautiful shop, I strongly recommend this shop if you are interested in self discovery, meditation etc. I love this place, could spend all day here.
Wow, Babylon is really amazing. Although it has the largest range of esoteric books by far in the state and in the country excepting one or two of the really big esoteric shops I"ve been to in Melbourne and Sydney, it is different than any other shop I have seen of its type. Selling many of the exotic items and home furnishings similar to the Ishka shops in Melbourne, Babylon is able to do it in a much more personalised style, as if all the stock has been personally selected with great care. There is a really peaceful energy in the shop that seems to have a calming effect if you spend any length of time there. I cant explain it. It is more than the shop just being relaxing. If feels almost as if you are meant to be there, as if one moment you were just shopping and the next you have entered into something more real, more authentic. I love this shop.
Being a book person interested in spiritual subjects, what I really like about Babylon, is that the books have been really well selected. They seem to know their books and subjects really well. They have steered away from the more superficial titles that you find elsewhere, while still having a really large range. Also, there is a large Second Hand selection where you can find many titles which are Out of Print. It is the perfect old fashioned experience, Books up high, down low, turned sideways, all the shelves in natural wood with little hand carved signs. And best of all, they never pressure you to buy anything, so you can really spend some time and enjoy. Tim Robertson
