Overland Brewers & Distillers reviews
18If you want awesome whiskey and fantastic food this is one of the best hidden gems of hobart.
Superb venue. 5 house whiskies on offer alongside a great list of internationals. Beer severed straight from 1000lt tanks. This place also does the best burgers I've had in Hobart, for sure. A dream local.
Fantastic beers and sours on tap.
Great burgers and fries from food van kitchen outside on deck area.
Good tunes and friendly staff without attitudes.
Doing the simple things so right
Great beer and venue. Also the chicken burger I had Friday night was perfect. My compliments to the chef.
Nice place to sit for an afternoon with friends. Nobles/good was good. Family friendly, open, bright.
Overland is the perfect place to come for a drink and food! There is plenty of space both in and outside for the children to play. In the cooler months it is lovely to settle in by the fire! There is an extensive drink menu and we enjoy sampling everything that there is to offer! The sour beers are AMAZING!
The bar staff are knowledgeable and attentive giving the place a relaxed atmosphere! Love it!
Most stale fries in Hobart - on par with the fry you find under the seat of your car from a year ago. Beer isn’t bad but the food is abysmal. The salad was saturated in balsamic vinegar and tastes of nothing else. Burger, meh get another down the road.
Don't come for the food. Beer was fine, food was extremely disappointing, poor quality, soggy, overpriced. Had to leave most of it on the plate.
Absolutely lovely staff in a warehouse style space that's open and welcoming - you can even bring your dog along for a pint. We had a selection of small plates and they were all delicious! The eggplant bites and passionfruit sour beer were some favourites of the night. Cheers guys!
Best stout I've had in years. Their whisky was great. Shame you can't buy a bottle of it. The Thai food truck was delicious. Quiet on a Thursday night. Good experience.
Been a few times, always good for a tasty beer and a hang out with friends that's not too busy. Yet to go at a busy time or when the food vans are there, so a limited review.
Boilermakers were nice as they make good whiskey however the beers aren't too exciting. I think this would be a fun place to take a big group as there are some games to play.
What a terrific, unpretentious place to have a drink. Great beer at a fair price and friendly, no nonsense service.
Great selection of beers and spirits (and some wine). The place is beautiful and quite big and there is an outdoor area with food trucks changing every night. We had a wonderful time and would recommend this brewery!
Best beers right from the bright tank, and one of the most underrated whisky lists in Tas. Weird and unique whiskies for $12 or so.
So first time in Overland Brewery and Distillery and it has a great vibe. Friendly and helpful. Started with an Overland Draught to test the waters, so to speak. Good flavour and great for a Sunday afternoon but the log fire. It's a great use of space and the popcorn is a nice touch. The food truck opens later so will give that a try too.
Great family vibe, love the popcorn machine & the BBQ Shapes! A cosy wood heater, corn hole, board games & food trucks makes this a fun place for anyone to spend a few hours:)
New addition to the burgeoning Hobart scene, combining Brewing and the production of Whisky. At the time we visited, three beers on tap (plus local wines and a couple of non-alco beer options) were fresh and tasty.
Keep an eye on socials for food trucks on site. One to watch for sure!
