Oceana B&B

We were spoilt staying at Oceana B and B from 3-8 Nov 2023. Michael and Di are exceptional hosts. We had specific diet requirement and they both went above and beyond to accomodate. The room was cosy and clean and had all the essentials that we need. Highly recommend them.

Thank you Michael and Di for taking care of all details to make our stay unforgettable. It is a very comfortable place, with an amazing view, delicious brekkie and hosts that go above and beyond to provide an unique experience.

We also stopped by Michael and Di on our honeymoon to Australia. The two are such loving, attentive hosts. Our short stay was planned in advance with excursions. If that weren't the case, the two would have plenty of ideas and suggestions as to what else could be done.

Friends of ours recommended we stay at Oceana B&B while we were in Tasmania. We are so glad they did! We spent five wonderful nights at Oceana B&B in early April 2023. Michael and Di are the most gracious hosts. They have set up their guest room with everything a guest could possibly want or need, including all the usual items, plus a picnic basket with all the necessary dishes and cutlery, ice packs in the freezer, a picnic blanket, beach towels, etc. Michael and Di are a wealth of information about what to see and do in Tasmania (not just the Hobart area, but all of Tasmania). They are also able to book tours for you, arrange rental cars and recommend restaurants. The breakfasts that Michael prepares every morning are beautifully presented and delicious. The house signature poached pears were exquisite. The care Michael takes with the presentation of the different food each day is five star worthy. We can't say enough good things about Oceana B&B and its wonderful hosts. Try it yourself. You will not be disappointed.

We only stayed for 3- and 2-nights days but was blown away by the hospitality that was provided to us by Michael and Di, the room is clean, and the bathroom is amazing and waking up to the view at your doorstep is priceless. I would give more than 5 stars if I could! They have recommendations on TV for things to do in Tasmania or just ask Michael he is a wealth of knowledge. Saves you doing your own research if you are strap for time. Can’t thank them enough for their hospitality. Sorry I didn’t talk much but my English is limited.

Can see why they won the Tasmanian award! Our stay was so lovely and memorable! It was like staying in a professional hotel but with a personalised touch. The room had a great view and was exceptionally clean. We had everything we needed in the room and could always ask for extra supplies. The breakfast and snacks were amazing and varied. We can appreciate the level of consideration and attention to detail that Michael and Di put in to create a wonderful experience for guests!

What a wonderful stay! Michael and Di’s hospitality is unmatched. A lovely room, splendid breakfast (at whatever time we needed it!), small touches around the room (think nibbles, cheese, wine!), and a truly remarkable view to cap it off

This was my second stay at Oceana and just as good as my first, lovely clean room, very comfy bed a magnificent bathroom and then to add to all that a 5 breakfast.

We recently spent four wonderful days and nights at Oceana B&B for our travel experience in Hobart. Michael made the booking and planning process exceptionally easy and hassle-free, and assisted my questions about the best possible itinerary with thoughtful suggestions for things to do.

From the get-go, Di and Michael were warm and welcoming hosts. They presented a room that was impeccably clean, comfortable, quiet and cozy, and there were extra pillows and throws if required.

The bathroom was spacious, with beautiful toiletries, fluffy towels, robes, and a heated towel rail.

Every morning we woke up to a tasty and fresh breakfast, a wonderful start to the day with a nice view of the city, Mount Wellington and the surrounding water.

We found the Tasmanian image slideshows on the TV to be very informative and useful and enjoyed the Plex video streaming and the in-room music system. We were even asked for our music tastes prior to arrival, a nice touch that set the mood. There was also a well-stocked mini bar with local snacks and drinks to choose from.

We really appreciated being able to book a Pennicott Wilderness Cruise full day experience package through Oceana B&B. The whole process was seamless and professional.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Oceana B&B and would go back in a heartbeat. Highly recommended, 10/10.

Michael and Di are amazing hosts. The room is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities (and many extras) that you need for a great stay. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. I would highly recommend staying here.
