Lovely accomodation and staff. The location on the waterfront was perfect for NYE Fireworks. The service was efficient and friendly and the bar and restaurant were very satisfying. I was intrigued that there is no outdoor furniture on the balcony, but the staff were very helpful and provided an extra chair as there is only one in the room - also strange. Bit staff were fantastic. Would highly recommend.

Thank you for a beautiful stay
The rooms almost brand new so spacious and a gym in the hotel.
The location is amazing, right next door to the bus stop interchange to Launceston Hobart and near the harbour front seeing Spirit of Tassie, and also shopping mall.
The Good Guy restaurant is exceptional for dinner and the service so friendly! Thank you and to Alana at the front desk professional and kind.
Your staff make this place!

Absolutely very good rooms but in house restaurant average and food great but not a wide selection of food and quite expensive price on meals. Would stay here again but dine out at a different restaurants near by.

Location excellent-close to everything. Everything in room was very clean. Breakfast was ordinary for price. Placement of tv right in front of the view of the water was poorly designed. Parking was good-just make sure you pre-organise with your booking. Our room was refreshed each day. All staff were courteous and friendly. We would definitely stay again.

Went for breakfast, was greeted with "good morning are you in house guests or "only locals".
I had to wash my hands before I started eating as the serving spoon handles were sticky.
I watched one staff member wipe her nose with her finger while setting the tables with cutlery.
Never returning here.

Chose to have breakfast one morning but felt it was average for the price. Great location and staff accommodated us for parking. Rooms were lovely and clean, good service, friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

We spent two nights in in the brand-new Devonport Novotel in February 2023 and had a lovely stay. Rooms are large and very comfortable, with great views of the port. It's fun to watch the ferries and boats roll in and out. We didn't eat in the restaurant but enjoyed evening drinks in the lovely sunny location - very relaxing.

Wished they offered a better menu other then the good guys.
Put steak on your menu so nobody body had to go to subways or the pub for a great meal if your a meat eater.

We stayed the 2nd day the novotel opened. The fire alarm went off at 5am
We were given free breakfast. Location 5 star rooms 5 star. Restaurant and accor members 2 star. Mr good guys restaurant poor poor choice for Novotel Devonport. We stayed in Hobart ibis with Mr good guys a few times.bad choise we are in Australia not asia local produce is the key for success. So many asian restaurant s in Devonport.

Absolutely beautiful rooms.
Friendly staff.
We were upgraded to a balcony room, but the sad part was, no patio furniture.
Other disappointment was there was an Emergency Evacuation at 7am this morning, and once we had made our way out of the fire escape there was no staff member to direct all patrons to the Emergency Evacuation Assembly Area, so no one knew where they were supposed to be going. Then when it was all over no one was told that we could go back to our rooms. That was very disappointing, especially if it was a real situation.

Newly built and well maintained hotel. Right in the middle of Devonport with plenty of of food options. Buffet breakfast was not complimentary.

Finally a good hotel to stay at in Devonport.
All the staff were friendly and very helpful.

Quality, comfortable and quiet rooms with nice views up the river.

I spent a night at the hotel and really disappointed by the service given. It’s a 4 star hotel but all the staff serve unprofessionally. There was a fire drilled few minutes after I made a check in, but there was no staff come to send an apology for the uncomfortable situation. All the staff in service area are not even welcoming, they are not even ready to deliver a service. I’ve ever experienced few 4 stars hotels back then, but sorry to say, this is the worse.

The staff are polite and welcoming but the hotel's restaurant only have asian menu and as for the general appearance they could have done a lot better seeing it is one of the first places people see when arriving on the Spirit of Tasmania.
As for the long walk to no where looks like a huge waste of money which should have been spent on a much more glamourous presentation of the building

Ate at the restaurant in first week of opening. Service was appalling. Manager apologized for poor service even when operating on a reduced menu.

The staff went above & beyond for us, making sure we made it to the boat terminal in time even though they held no responsibility for that.
Rooms: 10/10
Staff & Service: 12/10
Restaurant: 10/10
Pre book in advanced as this amazing location will book out.

Our room was lovely and spacious and comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony and watching the boats coming and going.
The only disappointment was our bathroom. We booked the Executive Suite and was expecting a lovely bathroom with a bath, as per the pictures on the website. We received the disability bathroom, which was very basic. Much like a hospital bathroom. It was one large room with disability toilet and shower space with shower curtains. There was nowhere to place our toiletries, no shelving, nothing. Only a small shelf stand that had our towels on there, we would've had to put the towels on the floor to use the shelf. There was no where to hang the hand towel so it kept falling into the sink and getting wet. There were brown marks around the toilet area on the floor, which was off putting, along with some pieces of toilet roll and hair.
I mentioned it to reception who indicated they would get housecleaning to attend. We were gone for a few hours and when we returned, it hadn't been cleaned, the paper and hair and marks were still there.
Very disappointing, considering we paid the premium price for an executive suite. Definitely not worth the money for that room.
