National Park Hotel (Under New Management as @ 30th April 2021)

We came in the mid afternoon on a weekday during January holidays.
Can see how this place would have a bustling winter trade. The yard out the back suits campervans, but not tent campers like us (unless you’ve had a few).

Staff were lovely and the front bar has a nice, regional pub feel. However not really a spot for summer lunch, bistro dining hall is a bit bare.
Can tell owners have put a lot of love into the place.

Stumbled on this gem of a pub after getting back from a long day exploring the mountains and finding everything else shut by 5pm on a Saturday.

Unassuming from the outside but inside we found a lovely pub, family friendly atmosphere, beer garden, welcoming hosts, cold drinks and delicious food (including chicken parmie done just about every way imaginable).

Highly recommend!

We popped by this lovely pub after our visit to the national park. The staff were incredibly accomodating for what we requested and the food was great. Had a warm atmosphere and wish we were able to have stayed longer.

Great hotel. Just had a chicken snitty. Well cooked succulent chicken and divine crunchy chips. Well priced.

Nice old pub on edge of sw tassie wilderness. Reasonable beer & spirit selection. Good menu range beyond what would typically see at a pub. And the quality of meals easily up to restaurant level. Freshly cooked, nicely presented, quality ingredients & absolutely delicious Brillz service from publican & staff
As a locals pub, it'd def be 5 stars. As a tourist passing through, id like to see just a few more craft beers available, & a bottle of sambucca amongst the liquors.

Stayed at the new Mt Field Retreat and popped down the road for dinner. The National Park Hotel bistro is great. Chefs specials, great wine list, wood fire and great service. The extensive parmi menu is not to be missed!

We booked in for a Sunday night due to winter opening day restrictions. This is a true country pub, friendly staff and locals, small menu but everything on it was well prepared and served quickly. The prices were good especially for the size of the meals.

This place is a hidden gem the service is amazing all of the staff are so friendly and the food was superb one of the best pub meals I’ve ever had. To say it’s a pub meal is an understatement. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious from the steak to the salad, the scallops were fresh and dessert was homemade and to die for. We highly recommend stopping here for a feed.

Came here for dinner with my partner and his family for one of my SIL's 30th and was absolutely blown away with how accommodating the staff was! They helped organise a cake and balloons for us since we wouldn't have time to do it ourselves?

The food was fantastic! Nice large portions, all reasonably priced. There wasn't a single bit of food left on any of our plates, which says something because there was 7 of us and 2 kids.

If you're ever in there area, swing by, you will not be disappointed:)

Not a lot to look at outside building wise, but the food is absolutely amazing. As vegetarian, it was, and is wonderful to see a fantastic variety and not a boring pasta dish to be seen (oh joy). The serving sizes are great and taste fantastic. I had the jack fruit with smoked sauce and cheese. OMG, HMMMMM. It's definitely a diamond in the bush. Can't wait to go back.

Fantastic food, and warm and friendly service. After a week travelling in Tasmania we had the best meal all trip here. The staff made us feel very welcome and went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our drinks and meal. The food was incredible, we had go stay for desert and the quality was just as good. When we are back in Tassie we are most certainly coming back!

I recently had a significant birthday and a big group of us (50 or so) took over the dining room and bar on the Friday night. We could not have had a more wonderful time. The bar and restaurant staff welcomed us warmly, the food was really great and came out quickly and the locals happily let us join in the pool competition.
Our Sydney friends wished they could take this great pub home with them.

Great meals! Amazing chicken schnitzel, so fresh, with a lovely crunchy crumb! And the chips were possibly the best I've had in Tassie! The family had steak with chips, and flathead and chips, which were delicious too.
Very friendly service and hardly any wait for our meals. We will definitely be back!

This country pub is everything you want it to be. Great selection of beers and wine, pristine location, gorgeous staff and the food. Sigh. I'm still salivating. You will not be disappointed.

This would have to be my favourite meal of our whole holiday to Tasmania. Food is awesome staff are friendly, and the beer is cold. Definitely a hidden gem! Well worth stopping in.

We stayed near by for 2 nights - after exploring the National Park.what a wonderful surprise this country hotel was, great pub food (thanks chef). Great entertainment both afternoons … exceptional customer service - the hostess/owner Amy also has an amazing voice giving an impromptu performance WOW thanks made our stay special
