This was a surprise. Great walk beautiful forest for the 30min walk in. Would have loved to spend more time exploring this forrest. Will need to plan another trip to visit again.
Well worth the effort to drive in. Depending on which way you travel. The roads from derwent part way is not sealed but can easily be driven with a sadam. The road from hobart is mostly sealed.

Beautiful forest walk with plenty to do and see. The main falls are beautiful and you can walk right up to one of the falls and enjoy the refreshing water! Must do.

Great, easy and fun little walk to the waterfall just before reaching the start of Collins Cap!

We didn't go to the top, just stop at about 40 mins hiking.i think the 15 mins walk will only take you to the falls.

Chill walk, few steps, nice little waterfalls, 18/01/2020 some of the path has been washed away

Pretty and pram friendly walk out to a picnic area (15 min to get there). Then, if you're game with your littlies, there's a gorgeous little waterfall about 5 min further down the track. It's rough and has steps, and though I managed to wrestle a stroller out there, it's probably easier to get the kids to walk the short stretch to the falls. (The track continues on much further for those looking for a big hike, but I wouldn't try to take a toddler beyond the falls, there was a pretty sketchy section of track to get past them).

Late winter & early spring are the best time to do this walk. Everything is covered in a thick layer of moss. On the down side of this time of year, rug up as it is very cold. Wear appropriate footwear as it can be very muddy in sections. Lastly the track will have very little maintenance for the past few months & could have washouts that may require getting your feet wet in some very cold snow melt water.

Idyllic walk through mossy green myrtle forest along a creek of picturesque cascades. Continue on to climb Collins Cap for great views of the surrounding mountains!
