60The Blue eye trevalla wings were black and tasteless, and the scallops were pea-sized and $3. I will never go there again.
Had a fishermans basket. Chips were obviously the cheapest available, undercooked, soggy and unseasoned. Fish was burnt and gross, couldn't finish.
U R thinking about fresh seafood, do not hesitate to try there. Half dozen of the fresh oyster was $18. Do not miss fresh~
Over 30 minutes wait for breakfast and 20mins for coffee on a Sunday morning was really disappointing. We left and went somewhere else which is a shame when there is a huge sign out the front promoting breakfast.
Shaina is the most hard working staff I see every time I come down for coffee.
Hope bosses acknowledge her.
Didn't give five stars because sofas need to be changed.
Poor value for money.
Fisherman's basket was terribly light on.bought more fish elsewhere to make a decent feed from it.second time now in a few months and won't be going back for a 3rd
My mate James Jon attorney at law is appalled at the lack of coat stands in this establishment however really enjoyed the flavour in the hot chocolate. On a side note he has requested the chocolate sprinkled over the hot chocolate is actually sprinkled inside the cup - you will be receiving a bill for his dry cleaning.
Dined here several times last August 2019
Traditional fish and chips but yummy! Affordable selections as well. I love their drinks!
Yummy and affordable fresh seafood chowder - $13 a bowl, served with bread and butter. Seriously good.
We usually eat here when we visit Hobart. Good seafood with a casual atmosphere. Sometimes a bit crowded which indicates it must be pretty good. Blue-eyed Trevalla was yum!
Great location orderd fisherman basket and seafood chowder, chowder was delicious but the basket was a disgrace, prawns were tiny calamari still had the stringy bit i got 3 times the size scallops in my scallop pies elsewhere, they were so tiny. For a place that prides themselves on seafood I wouldn't bother returning.not even for the seafood chowder.
Nice neals and really great ice cream. Generous serves but I only ever go when it should be more quiet. Too hectic otherwise.
Great place for fish eaters, all fresh daily. Other food is available as are drinks, alcoholic or otherwise. Best described as a large fish and chip restaurant with plenty of seating and very happy and helpful staff. A must visit place when in Hobart Tasmania.
Just an awesome position and the fish was fresh. Loved the water bar and the salt and sauce bar. Crumbed fish or the day and chips looking out over the docks.
Cost is the killer, it ain’t cheap but the food is great, location superb and then you have the ice cream ;)
Good quality freshly prepared food for reasonable prices considering the location and size of the premises. Lots of seating options, couch by the fire overlooking the water, or bar stools, or proper tables and chairs.
Muffins from the ice cream stall were stunning. Some of the best I’ve had. Staff were friendly, happy, and helpful. Lovely artworks displayed, and obvious connection with the local community. Can’t fault. Casual atmosphere.
Very ordinary meal. I had crumbed scallops, very small and not fresh like the ocean. Chips were not like I expected in a Tasmanian fish shop. Blue eye trevalla very dry and small serve.
Good location, but overall average food, and the price is a bit high for what it is. Decent option if you want standard fish and chips, and don't mind paying a bit extra for the convenient location.
Oh wow, the ice cream here was so good! The staff were also very friendly and the prices were reasonable for the portion size.
The only thing I would advise is not to sit near the door on cold nights as we were getting draughts from the constant movement of people in and out of the restaurant until we moved further inside.
