Had 6 dishes and cocktails here, between three people, group consensus:

Food 4/10, dishes very basic and monotone in flavour, trying too hard to be ‘fancy’ and ruining decent ingredients.
Cocktails 2/10, undrinkable and need serious work with flavour balancing
Service 5/10, not natural for our visit, needed to request menus and to order and to be assisted, noted the same thing across multiple tables

Would not recommend would not go back

You couldn’t go wrong with anything you ordered here. The food was sensational. All of it. Great wines and service. Definitely recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out.

Starting off with an amazing hospitality, we loved loved every moment we were there. It was my friend’s birthday and on such short notice they organised this birthday plate for my friend and she loved it. We had couple of cocktails and wine. The food is amaaazingggg and goes well with the drinks that they have to offer. Definitely going back again.

Fabulous dinner and amazing service. Dylan and Skye were attentive, knowledgeable and professional.

Fantastic Japanese theme dinner. 9 superb courses great Tasmanian wine with the meal. Great company. We would hope that we could have had more places at the event as we had at least 2 more family to come if possible. Lovely cellar room. Please consider more events. Fraser

Lovely outlook with great staff. Amazing food beautifully presented. We had the mixed oysters, duck, fish followed by spectacular desserts.

One of our very favourite places in Launie for lunch and a cheeky wine. Went today for an celebratory lunch, we were looked after by Trent - amazing service, great food as always. Loved the wine selection and recommendations. Thank you and see you next time:)

Friendly service. The mocktail I had was basically cordial and water. Very sugary especially since the cocktails looked amazing. They catered to dietary requirements. Ordered the chicken and it was okay but definitely not worth the almost $50 price tag (surcharge on a Sunday). Overall disappointed for the cost.

Fantastic Asian inspired menu, including a unique and delicious oyster dressing that tasted like traditional Chinese steamed fish. The lamb that came directly from the owners’ farm was the best cut of lamb I’ve had. Our server was super friendly, and the music was good too. Experience definitely matched up to the expectations set by the price tag.

We were given a voucher for Mudbar for our 35th anniversary and I am so thankful. Such a beautiful dining experience. From the welcoming staff who cater to your every need to the beautifully served tasty food and voila you have the perfect celebratory meal. We couldn’t fault the staff the food or the ambience of Mudbar restaurant. We WILL be back

Stopped for lunch before flying out of Launceston. Enjoyed the oysters with a glass of local sparkling wine. The duck tacos were also delicious!

Wonderful setting, the staff are friendly and attentive. The food is some of the best food in Tassie! Would highly recommend also trying their cocktails!

We just had a fabulous lunch! The food was really amazing and it was teamed up with prompt, knowledgeable and cheerful staff! We will be back for sure.

Such a stunning dinner at Mudbar. We travel around different States in Aus and would say this restaurant is in our top 10. Service was fantastic, food came quick, cocktails were fabulous Oh and the oysters OMG! Would definitely recommend if you're a foodie.

Nasty business owner. Rude, obnoxious, unapproachable and just a greedy person with no people skills trying to get rich off of the locals, whilst ripping off his staff. Its a shame for the industry and staff having to put up with him. The food's OK though

Sam was kind and hospitable, despite not having a reservation on a busy day the team found a nice spot for us. We appreciate your kindness and warmth. Definitely coming back again.

We had a wonderful evening here tonight! The food was divine (we chose from the Vegetarian and A La Carte Menu’s the food was fab… the service exemplary, fabulous wait staff who were authentic and fun! Thank you for the Arras to celebrate our forthcoming elopement on Friday… We’ll be back x

Had battered fish and chips it was cold as the people I was with there food cold aswell but the dessert was great
