Monsoon Thai Fusion

Online ordering process was extremely difficult and not friendly to foreigners. Food was ultimately decent, but may not be worth the hassle unless you have an Aussie number and address.

Food is not good as before especially the pineapple fried rice.
We wanted to order more food at 7pm but the staff told us the kitchen was closed early as not busy. (the trading hours is 9pm closing and they did not even ask us for last order).
The other customer was looking for service or ordering but no one care about them.
Never come back again.

Overall happy with the food here, not the best but definitely not the worst. The duck curry was tasty. I think the chicken fried rice could do with less curry powder (I think that was what was used, it had that sort of flavour & colour). Probably some more authentic thai flavours could be used instead for this dish. That would be the only thing I wasn't particularly keen on. Everything else was great.

Great find in Battery Point. Reasonably priced, friendly prompt service a delicious food. Very busy so recommend booking. Highly recommend the seafood dumplings and the chicken curry. We ate there twice prior to our road trip around Tasmania and again when we returned to Hobart.

Great ambiance, authentic taste and courteous staff

The owner perhaps need to add few more staff as the girls looked overworked and missed on little details like giving proper cutlery with the order.

What a find! AMAZING! My husband and I found this little place whilst exploring Battery Point and came back to give it a run. Lovely, neat dining area, pleasant team but oh, WOW! I have to say it was the most flavoursome, tender and beautifully presented food we have had in a long time. I highly recommend visiting. Would give 10stars if I could.

Such a good restaurant! Ambiance is great and prices are worthy for the portion sizes and taste.

Tasmania is busy. Super busy if you don't book don't expect a good time or table.
The food, wine selection and staff here hit the plus button every time. Leave satisfied by the extremely tasty food and great service for good value.

Small Thai restaurant. Was very crowded on the day we have dinner. Had to wait outside in the cold even when we had booking. Food isn't too bad though.

Review for Vegetarians. Not your average Thai restaurant! The menu features Thai specials with a few usual suspects like Pad Thai and Hot and Tom Yum soup. But for the most part, you will be amazed to know the other Thai dishes that exists!

They’ve tons of vegetarian options and the staff is willing to work with you to substitute any meat dishes with tofu and soy.

Make reservations in advance on their website or be prepared to wait for 1 hour.

Dined in at Monsoon by one of the night and had high expectation from this place after reading all the reviews. It was good but not as much impressive that I expected. The pork rib is a bit dry. Soft shell crab is good, crispy but needed more sauce. The best dish I had here is the lamb shank masaman curry, it’s so soft, tender and melt in your mouth. However, chicken pad thai is bland and not flavourful compared to other Thai places.
Dish presentation is exceptional, staff is friendly and helpful, atmosphere is warm and welcoming, flavour is ok.
May consider coming back here

A busy hampton style looking restaurant with lovely atmosphere but was disappointed with the taste and the portion. Our experience was not what the ratings says.

Absolutely loved this place. It was chock full of people which is always a good sign and the food did not disappoint. I had the roast duck red curry and it was just delicious. Not too sweet, not too spicy (though I do love it nice and spicy). Prices were very reasonable for both food and drinks. The staff were very friendly and the food was very quick to come out. Loved it! 10/10 would recommend.

I enjoyed the food, etc but there wasn't much room to sit at your table comfortably. The others with me said they would eat there again.

Loved the food. My favourite was the Penang prawn curry. Lovely warm restaurant.it was quite cold outside so great to be somewhere warm and cosy enjoying a lovely meal. The restaurant is fully licensed. We enjoyed a Stefano Lubiana sav blanc

My favourite vegan friendly restaurant in Hobart! For dinner, between two, we shared the bbq bento which was divine and the vegan green curry which was also delicious. The duck curry is also delicious! Friendly and prompt service, staff here are always so lovely. Already planning my next meal here. Highly recommend.
