Staff were absolutely amazing, food was great, beer was ice cold. Wish I could bring you guys to Queensland!

I wouldn't visit this bogan pub ever again. We were abused by the bar staff & were told, "This was HER Island, " merely for entering into the 'wrong bar' - like it was obvious. We simply found a door & entered. Needless to say, we drank up quickly & left, never to return, never to contribute further to its local economy. A very disappointing experience.

Reply to Owner: Thank you for asking. This happened on Monday, 23rd October, around mid afternoon. We were served by a mature lady with a sour disposition with pink/purple coloured hair. We were a group of seven & unfortunately entered the bistro & ordered drinks through the window, which was apparently the wrong thing to do.

Big shout out to Midway Tavern Sara, Aaron and John and the other staff on, taking care of the catering for my sip and paint and beautiful cocktails they did an absolutely amazing job having everything in order to have a great night.

The "Midway" is a great local pub with good atmosphere nice meals and pleasant staff. Highly recommended when looking for this type of experience in food and drinks!

Staff were pleasant however meal left a lot to be desired. This was the 1st time I've eaten here, so disappointing. I had the 200g Rump Steak with chips & salad $18 at lunch time with a group. Steak was tough & salad was not usual healthy green salad, it was coleslaw covered in dressing.

Just had the best charcoal grilled steak sandwich and fries I can ever recall. All for $10

First time visit for lunch. Barmaid taking orders was over the top bubbly and friendly but ditsy, kept forgetting what she was doing! She told us to take a seat in the second room which was beginning to be set up for a function that night. Waitress quite rude and told us we shouldn't be in there but allowed us to stay as there was no other tables (noted she didn't say anything to others that followed us in there). We weren't expecting too much at this stage but the meals made up for everything! Absolutely wonderful scallops, huge REAL salad and crispy well cooked chips. Definitely will give it another go, maybe staff just having a rough day.

These pizzas are without doubt some of the best I have eaten, it’s on par with any pizza store in Tassie, if not Australia, fresh ingredients, delicious combinations, do yourself a favour and check them out! Well worth the money

I believe they operate Wednesday to Sunday 5pm - 8pm, just order early to save time

If you’ve got a bit of a wait, you can always head inside the tavern to keep warm, maybe grab something to drink to enjoy with the pizza!

Bottle Shop, cateloge stating ccs - jameson premix cans pack 10 $39.99, on arrival I asked the young girl if they had any jameson cans zero sugar, she answered no (This was on the Tuesday 20th) but the Christmas stock will be arriving tomorrow (Wednesday) and she guaranteed me jameson zero sugar will be arriving, went to pick them up only to find out they didn't have any and cateloge had finished

Dreadful, nearly gave the waiter a headache when i asked for the steak special and a beer in the same sentence and i think they served me up goat leather, by the way i’m still sitting on table 10 if anyone is reading this right now, well upset

A great friendly place to have a counter meal and a flutter. Lovely big windows with a water view from most.

Got the killapick oysters, it's was just loaded with bacon. Got the crumbed scallops large meal thank God we did cause it was small the salad had no dressing the scallops wasnt even cleaned properly. Got a streak it was nearly blue. When I asked for medium raw. Just say I left very unhappy and disappointed. I'll never go back there again heading to mcdonalds now to get a real feed. The chef there atleast knows how to cook.

My wife and I had lunch today at Midway tavern, broccoli was so hard you couldn’t cut it that alone bite it, seeing you have a lot of elderly customers please cook your vegetables, didn’t enjoy it at all.

The service was very friendly and accommodating, meals were large and tasty. Reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.

10 people in the restaurant and it takes over an hour to get a meal and we had a booking.

Pretty average food for the same price as good pub food from other places. Cubes of cheese and orange in the 'chips and salad option'. Definitely no chef here just cooks.won't go back and we are local, very disappointing.

Fantastic meals, the only let down was one staff member that should not be working in customer service. She was rude, blunt and gave the impression that everyone came to dine there just to ruin her day. No idea of her name but she had a long Pony tail in a platt.
I suggest she needs to find another job working with inanimate objects.
