MeMi Coffee + Food reviews
17 Such a disappointment, so much potential wasted.
The service was excellent, the food and coffee looked amazing! HOWEVER the coffee was burnt, horrible and undrinkable. Food was still good though would go again for the bakery treats but coffee ruined todays experience.
Café connected to the Hill Street Grocers. The café makes excellent coffee and employs very efficient and skilled baristas. The manager (?) of the café (Donny) is very friendly and professional - he makes an effort to remember the names of regulars, which is a nice touch.
Food was great but from what it said on the menu to what you got was a bit disappointing. Also extremely loud but still good vibes.
Been here before and it was decent. Visited today and the 'hollandaise' was just melted butter, consistency of water. The photos show proper thick sauce, no idea how they thought this was acceptable to serve. Complained and was not offered a fix or refund, just that they would tell the chef our feedback.shocked.
Wish I'd taken a photo.
Went here twice this week cause the food is great! The salads are unique and so full of flavours! The taco is amazing! The chef who also took my order is so kind. My daughter wants the ham and cheese toastie so she cuts it into mini triangles. My daughter really enjoyed it.amazing service! I will definitely come back!
Corie and his crew go out of their way to ensure customers are welcomed, valued and feted with great coffee, fresh food and delicious cakes. Light bright and airy the location has a special feel to it. There's a reason why this place is expanding.highly recommended.
Great little coffee shop with easy parking. They use Skip so order ahead to avoid waiting. Good selection of pastries and sandwiches. They have a small breakfast menu too.
Only lost a star due to the price of a large coffee being over $5 is a bit expensive for Hobart.
Came in here today ordered Cappuccino and takeaway tacos. My coffee is on point and the tacos were so delish! I just watched this beautiful asian lady smashed the lunch rush while sipping the best coffee I ever had.compliments to the badass chef and the amazing barista!
Fabulous breakfast and excellent coffee.
Very quick service.
Next level experience.
Very disappointing. Ordered medium poached eggs. Eggs arrived and very soft poached eggs, requested medium poached eggs. Second lot of eggs were cooked at exactly the same way, very soft poached eggs. Staff wouldn't come near me or make eye contact even though small café area and apparent that eggs were not as ordered. Limited menu so would expect what is provided would be served as ordered and meet expectations.
My first time visit. Very helpful and friendly staff. Will have to download the app for ordering online
People out there wondering where to go out for coffee and food, and space to chill out with their laptop or reading book.
Come down here at Memi, tiny but cozy, music playlist is great. They know their stuff
Wide selection of milk, I am fan of happy soy.
Coffee is real good, no doubt.
Come here once and experience
Won't regret it.

The coffee is second to none. Extremely consistent.
The food is simple and excellent. Particularly the salads. Thanks heaps chef! Always satisfied and content with your food
All the staff are extremely loyal and remember your name and your order if you go there enough.
Cory and Sam are the dream team. 100 percent.
I'd recommend everyone goes there. But then it'll get waaay to busy and I may miss out on my 4shot cap and chicken avo turkish.
EDIT:
Still very bitter coffee, but the staff are so friendly and the food so nice that I’ll keep coming past. I’ll just get hot chocolates or chai lattes instead.
OLD REVIEW:
Super friendly staff and lovely fresh food - unfortunately my coffee was burnt and tasted as bitter as anything. However, other reviews have convinced me that I should try again (perhaps my barista was inexperienced?) and I will update my review accordingly. I’d still say it’s worth a go:)
I order a coffee and food from here every morning as it’s convenient, however the food is some of the worst cafe food I’ve tasted. A simple ham and cheese toasty of which I just purchased had some disgusting white slop (did not taste like mayo) and made the whole thing inedible. The chicken and avo focaccia is incredibly bland, the scrambled egg wraps are equally awful. All I can say is that the coffee is ok.
The coffee isn't bad, the FOH is a champ, the parking is horrible and the space is way too small.
