Worth the visit. Oyster was fresh and juicy. Prawn was superb and tasty. So glad we stopped by.

What a gem of a place. Stopped in on our bicycle ride. We chose the Gold Oysters, being a relatively new Oyster convert, these were the best. Beautiful view and excellent friendly service too.

Delicious fresh oysters, gold and silver Pacific. A cute van. Just made it on closing 4pm. Local wine and pickled octopus also yum.

Took delivery of two dozen beautifully fresh oysters, had one dozen natural and Kilpatrick the remainder. We both agreed they were the best oysters we’d ever had, and we’ve had a lot of oysters, including oysters from Melshell. Wonderfully plump tasty, if you’re visiting Tasmania make sure you head east to Swansea /Dolphin Sands and get to Melshell Oyster-shack, we’re lucky enough to live here, so many more will be enjoyed.

We ordered 2 dozen of live, unopened oysters from Melahell oyster shack.
Friendly service, although eating unopened oysters were not allowed on the site itself.
Oysters of good size and fresh. Highly recommend the gold option.

Truly the most delicious oysters I have ever had. Tasting of the fresh briny liquor, combined with sweetness, zest of lemon, good bite to them, plus creaminess all in one. Superlative!

I would have thought that if you advertise being open until 4pm, then you would be open till 4pm, not 3: 30!
Been planning to come here for a month on a "seafood drive" and this was going to be our highlight. Arrived at 3: 36 to a closed gate.
Can't rate anything apart from the disappointment, which was MASSIVE.

I'll start by saying you HAVE to come here for the most delicious fresh oysters you'll ever have! We stayed in Dolphin Sands for two nights and went three times, that's how good these oysters are!

Oysters are always a feature of our family holidays, and Melshell are the best we have had in Tasmania so far. Generous size, well priced and the home made condiments just add to the experience. A must visit on the East Coast.

This place is a treasure, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and delicious food on offer. I've never had such clean and fresh tasting oysters.
Kids were entertained by a small playground, a selection of board games and a very interesting fish tank.

The best, freshest oysters I have ever had. Freshly shucked, meaty, delicious! I asked for the biggest pacific oyster they had, and it was huge.

We love this place. It ain't fancy, but that's what we like. Sitting on a mound of oysters with a bottle of Devils Corner Chardonnay (Byo) and a couple of Cascade beers.

Without a doubt the best oysters I’ve ever eaten. Gorgeous spot looking over the water and run by some beautiful people who care a lot about what they do. Our best stop along the east coast!
