McDonald's Burnie reviews
68The standard at this store is terrible. It once was a great store with high standards, and now it is a joke. It took 45 minutes to get our orders, and they forgot part of it, which took 10 more minutes to get, and only after we had to ask for it. This was table service via app. The restaurant was a complete mess, and clearly, the store was understaffed. The management should be ashamed of themselves.
I worked all day and didn't get a chance to eat so we decided to call McDonalds Burnie heading from Ulv to smithton. All was good we checked our meals cause yah just don't make that mistake. Asked me several times if I wanted mayo and sugar in my cappuccino, also asked if we wanted the buns as well. Odd I agree. No mayo no sugar lucky we got the buns. To then drive back through I asked if we could simply have a soft serve for the muck around as we waited in line for like ever to get back through. No and shut the window. I won't be back it wouldn't have been an option if other stores had been opened and this is exactly why. Couldn't part with a 70 cent soft serve.
Have interacted with this store 3 times before today. They’ve gotten 2 of those orders wrong, always have a big line up. One time they prepared our 2 coffee’s whilst I sat at the delivery window (10 minutes) with a large line of other customers in cars behind me. Their attitudes are poor, culture is poor, they talk to each other terribly. Currently waiting on a online order. First eta was 9: 30am, its now 10: 30am “preparing your order” is still the status and the ETA just keeps getting pushed out. Have called the help line, they’ve touched base with the store to confirm they’re very busy and have indeed not started our order of 2 coffee’s and a muffin yet. Didn’t cancel the order and get a refund, as was offered, because i’m now at the point i’m morbidly fascinated and interested to see how long it will end up taking! I’m just about to walk to a local coffee shop to get a coffee but will still be paying $18 for this maccas order for research purposes. Because science.
This store used to be one of the best but now there's zero care factor, some staff are downright rude, slack business practices and over all a business manager overseeing a number of stores on Tasmania's North West Coast where unfortunately you experience similar, but any concerns raised to him simply fall on deaf ears. I could not recommend Burnie McDonald's to anyone. And in September 2023 nothing has changed these stores needed a new business manager this one isn't up to it. Quite a few cars along with myself ended up at Hungry Jack's tonight just before 10pm 14th Sept 2023 and that says it all.
Ordered a big mac meal. Waited 20 minutes. Chips were cold and asked for them to be replaced. Waited another 5 minutes but then the burgers were cold and not made properly, just chucked together. Go to Hungry Jack's, they cook chips fresh on order. Staff not very friendly, ordered tea and only luke warm. Won't ever go back.
I don't know where they find the staff that work here. Screaming at each other at the counter, valguar language, not one of the girls can produce a smile, and to be spoken to like its a problem to take my order after telling them that the self service machines aren't working was not nice at all. Maybe they need to hire some older staff, instead of these young people that think they are too good to work a service position.
From the manager of a very successful restaurant in Burnie.
Staff has the Best attitude in Australia! They understand what you tell them in one go. In Melbourne, teens must be told at least 5 times for them to understand. Burnie McDonalds is the best I have seen in-terms of staff attitude.
Useless service, waited 10 minutes at the drive through, when all we got was ‘there ya go’. No ‘sorry for the wait’, maccas in Burnie has really dropped the ball with just simple customer service
Tonight was the 3rd time in a month our order has been completely screwed up. My wife’s cheeseburger had no onion or mustard & my spicey bacon Angus had no bacon or sauce of any kind. I don’t have a problem with 14-16yr olds making burgers but there obviously needs someone to do the double checking of every order.
The mistakes of the orders has gotten so bad. I’ll be going to hungry jacks for now on

Worst experience it shows they are open 24 hours but I went to order 4 times a week and everytime I go after 12am they always says system is on update and don't know how long it will take they never take orders after 12am. I went at 12 12: 30 1 1: 30 on different days they always have excuse that system is on update they can't take orders. Burnie Team please look into this This not only happen with me but with my friends as well.
Went through the drive thru, we got 3 hot drinks the lids weren't put on properly any any if them result in hot drinks going over 2 people while still in the tray very poor, food Was good though
All self order difficult to get help should be someone to help like at supermarket self checkout
Food was of high quality
Love the food.but the people works at McD Burnie is terrible and they don’t know what is there responsibility, what they are supposed to do …no work ethics at all…just chatting and walking around. Even no attention to the drive way
Complaint no all day breakfast menu. What about shift workers. Is it that hard to cook an item for a customer
I'm very disappointed
Today, I've ordered a big meal from McDonald via Menulog. I've asked one of the wrap (a Caesar wrap) to remove the bacon from it.
I received it with bacon
Also with the order, there's 2 boxes of salad: an old salad, rotten and bad taste
It was a very bad lunch, and this will be my last time to order from McDonald

Just get the order right, happens too many times at this Maccas. Have now stuffed my order 6 of the last 8 times but always in their favour financially? So are they incompetent or are they thieves?

Night shift couldn't care less about customer service they would rather serve up warm food if not cold as it sits there, take more time listening to customers special requests. 23 mins later food is good but no drinks smh
Worst maccas in the state. It's dirty and I've been handed the most disgusting things via the drive thru (including chocolate sundays dripping with icecream and chocolate sauce). The attached photo was what they ended up giving me AFTER I refused to take the first dripping mess.
Update: still horrible and incredibly slow.
