Maydena Mountain Cabins & Alpacas reviews
23An awesome place to stay, very friendly and amazing people, they helped us in every way, i loved our stay and was sad to leave.i wish i could have stayed longer.the house was perfect and clean and comfortable.i can highly recommend this place!
We loved staying at the cabin. Well set up and equiped, super cozy and lovely views, friendly staff. Wish we stayed longer.
Everything was perfect. Arrived late with no shops open, which the owners set us on our way to a shop so we wouldn't starve. Shower pressure was amazing and as someone who suffers from Arthritis woke in the morning with no pain or stiffness. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a beautiful cabin that ticks all the boxes.
Maydena Mountain Cabins was the icing on our Maydena trip cake. Very comfortable and functional cabin that is the perfect base camp for the local adventures. The owners were extremely helpful. We will definitely be coming back.
My wife and I stayed here in the Rose Cabin during August 22 and loved it. The rooms are really well equiped with cooking facilities including a BBQ on the deck. The rooms are also very clean and well maintained. The hosts Steven and Jo are there to help if there are any issues. There is also a great deal to keep you busy while there, you drive's to the Gordon Dam among others, The Mt Field National Park is 10 minutes away as well as the Junee Cave just out town. If your after a Pub Meal the National Park Hotel is also 10 minutes away. I would highly recommend the Maydena Mountain Cabins.
I stayed here for 3 nights and it was such a nice place to stay, the Rose Cabin was set up beautifully, there is nothing I could fault, made even better only by the outlook being over the alpacas yard & the owner was so hospitable. I will have no hesitation in recommending this place to everybody!
Absolutely friendly owners who ensured we had everything we needed, and the Rose Cabin was large, comfortable and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Perfectly situated halfway between the East and West coasts of Tasmania, this was the perfect stopping point on our way across to the west. Highly recommended.
Beautiful surrounds. Lovely to wake up to the snow capped mountain view and alpacas eating their breakfast. Cabin was clean and warm. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. We were greatful to find Robert Timms coffee bags in the room.
Nice and super clean cabin. The owner was very friendly and shared with us her knowledge about her alpacas, cute little creatures. Recommend this place as it is very close to the walks and more importantly, the pub which is down the street
Great place to stay friendly owners and animals they feed the alpacas at 8: 30 of a morning and you cam join them
Stayed for 2 nights. A cosy clean getaway location in Maydena. The cabin is well appointed for self catering and also in close proximity to fabulous evening dining at "The Giant's Table" You will be staying in close proximity to Mt Field Nation Park and its hiking/walks as well as Mountain bike trails. Enjoyed looking out toward the mountain from our verandah while enjoying an afternoon beverage and communing with Stevans Alpaca's.
The most friendly, kind and lovely hosts that we have had the pleasure of meeting. We fed the alpacas in the morning, and we were not rushed at all, and we were able to pat them. The accommodation was cosy and comfortable, with the ability to cook meals. It is in a great location near plenty of nature walks. We can't wait to come back the next time we visit tassie.
Stayed two nights at the Lavendar cabin. It was beautifully furnished with all the amenities I needed. Stevan and Jo were kind enough to let me join in on feeding the alpacas in the morning. The location was so close to everything I managed to do the Needles, Marriott falls, Junee Caves and Mt Field east track all in one weekend. Thank you for your hospitality Stevan, Jo and the alpaca girls! Definitely worth a revisit in the future.
Great place to stay. Clean and comfortable. Hosts helpful, friendly - very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
Very quiet. My children were able to feed alpacas. Good experience for them. The area is beautiful
+ Location; quiet, peaceful, great views, Alpacas right outside the door

Would highly recommend if you are in the area. Super place.
Nice and clean place. Calm and quite Homely stay. Just a few kilometres from Mount field National park. Friendly people.
Fantastic little spot and great views of the mountains. The owner was extremely friendly and our cabin was nice and warm on our arrival. Lovely cabin, clean and well presented. Breakfast of bacon and eggs were included which was a nice bonus. My kids enjoyed the alpacas residence. High recommend and thank you for your hospitality.
Great spot with easy access to the Maydena Bike Park. Friendly owners and nice accom. Will be back
Great location for access to MTB and Mt Fields NP. Very friendly owners who keep the cabins immaculately clean.
