This is the fourth time we have rented a campervan from this company. This is a very comfortable campervan. It is well-equipped and the staff of the rental company are also very friendly. When we picked up the car, the inside and outside of the car were also very clean. The heater was turned on at night. Sleeping is very comfortable, the bed pillows and mattress are fresh and clean, and the car handles very smoothly? !

The kitchen is very useful and you can enjoy cooking. It has B, B, Q stoves and ovens. My family is very satisfied

Extremely happy with the 3 birth vehicle we used to travel around Tassie in. Very comfortable and easy to use. Exceptional service also provided by Maui at Hobart. We will be back.

Campervan trips have always been fun but it does feel like Maui motorhome accessories have deteriorated from 2018. The engine and drive was great! BUT! The (multiple) keys require a lot of fiddling to insert into the key hole to open essential cupboards (gas, freshwater etc.). Try fiddling with 5-6 keys in the middle of the rain. The bathroom’s door fell off on our 2nd day and scratched a leg and the oven stove cover requires more fiddling to shut. There used to be more automation with beds and footstools too.

Highly recommend Maui Campers Hobart. Fantastic van and experience. Perfect for travelling Tasmainia with the family. Customer service is amazing, we had left something behind and only one phonecall on a Sunday they found it for us.

We had a fantastic 2 weeks in our Maui camper van. Even in less than idea weather we were warm & comfy. The process of collecting the van was made easy and pleasant by the staff.
Highly recommend this adventurous way of seeing the beauty of Tasmania.

If I could, I would scored -1 star, I've never review any company on this low score before.
1. On the day of picking up the car, they did not prepare the car for us by ready yet, so one of the staff hurriedly handed us the sheets and quilts for the last few minutes. As we had been waiting for a long time, she quickly took me around to check whether the car was damaged, and then asked us to sign the name and give the key to us. We had no idea that the speedily walk around the motorhome purpose was checked details, and of course we didn't pay attention to any little details, so we signed and left. (The car looks very new on first sight.)

2. When I saw the“Toilet already disinfected”slip of paper place on top of the toilet, so of course I sat down with great confidence. After I sat down, I saw a yellow spot on the edge of the interior, assumed that it should be stains that could not be washed away. When I stood up, I began to hesitate and lifted the smaller lid on the second layer, which was so disgusting so GROSS. There's an infinite number of yellow spots, all around the seating place of second layer (That you can wipe it off with a wet paper towel.) Obviously there’s no any disinfected or cleaned up after last customer used. But why you placed the slip paper of “Already Disinfection”sign on it.

3. I putted the tissue box and clean towels in the cabinet which is above the stove. As a result, the whole tissue box was wet. The bottom of the cabinet was covered with many oil. (I assume was last customer’s oil bottle tipped over)

4. The lock of the refrigerator was unstable at all, so during driving and turning around the corner, the door kept opening automatically, and the spaghetti sauce jars and drinks from inside kept falling out and rolled. Then my husband had to pull over to the side of the road, and I went to close the refrigerator’s door, which we repeated countless times.

5.when we returned the car, the same lady at the reception said that there was a small scratch on the (made with plastic) front bumper bar of the car, which required us to compensate $1,300. They knew that we had not taken any photos or videos in advance, so they deducted our deposit bond. How silly of us didn’t taken any picture start with, so they can literally said what they want really.
Definitely not recommended this dodgy company. My in-law went to Apollo and had a great feedback. So recommend go to Apollo

We had a great experience hiring a van, we had a Mercedes Maui and it was so reliable, we did a full trip around Tas in 8 days in Jan / Feb and the van didn’t miss a beat.
It had a great navigation system which was helpful when our phones had no service.

Only negative feedback was the beds “mattress” is just all the cushions from the lounges puzzled together. So it offered zero back support, we’re also both short and our legs were virtually off the bed so I can’t imagine it would be fab if you were super tall.
Other than the bed, there was absolutely nothing we could fault! Kitchen, bbq, lights ect were all great.:)

What a great Tassie holiday! Travelling this beautiful island for 3 weeks with my wife and two teenage kids was something we will never forget. The ‘brand new’ 6-berth Maui motorhome was a perfect way to travel, we ventured everywhere and stayed in some amazing places. The service of the Maui team was impeccable, going above and beyond! Thank you to the Maui Hobart team, we will be back again.

We just returned our Maui River camper after 10 wonderful days for our family of 5. Our vehicle was brand new and absolutely spotless. Pick up and drop off were quick and easy. Would highly recommend this option for a family holiday around Tasmania.

We hired a Britz Explorer for 12 days for my wife and I to travel around Tasmania.

What a fantastic experience. The collection in Hobart was hassle free and the lady there was extremely helpful. The motorhome itself was excellent. Plenty of room with virtually everything you could possibly need inside. It was extremely comfortable, not to only sleep in, but also to drive.

We are already planning our next motorhome trip and will not hesitate to use Britz and the Explorer again.

Best staff ever! They are very kind and make you feel very comfortable. I had an accident with the van and they guided me to what I should do very calmly and with a lot of empathy. They also helped me very quickily. I definitely recommend this company and the staff are simply awesome!

We hired two campervans for a trip up the east coast of Tasmania. The campervans were pretty good value overall for the price. Some minor annoyances such as:
- a leaky sink meant we couldn't use the sink at all because it leaked into the drawers below.
- some buttons falling off drawers, just a minor hindrance
- the wiper blades were totally ineffective, just smeared water across the windscreen
That said they were comfortable enough & no mechanical problems at all. Lots of fun and good value!

Hired the Ultima for 12 days. Enjoyed the layout and practically of the van. Unfortunately had a few mechanical issues. We recieved with a faulty half flat tyre that caused us a failure into our trip due to being in poor condition on pickup. This should have been picked up on their checks. The sat nav did not work, fuses kept blowing in the 12v recharge station, and the second battery would not hold charge. I informed the manager of the issue with the second battery while we were on the trip, and was told to come back to the depo to replace, which would have cost us a day worth of travelling due to where we needed to be the following day. Their was no option to get a replacement at a store that was near us. So basically fobbed me off, and couldn't provide a solution that would suit us both. I was told at the reception that i wouldn't need to plug into power for at least 2 days as the alternator and solar panels would cover it, and being the system that it was i would believe that, but it wouldn't last more than 3 hours after being fully charged.
The van cost me just over $2000 to hire, and i feel the lack of pre maintenance checks was very poor, the service from the office was poor, which is a big thing, and was not worth the price with all those issues mentioned. Especially if its being hired out with the title of a luxury camper. Next time i would definitely look elsewhere.

We hired a camper van from the Hobart staff and they were very nice and helpful. If we had any problems during our holiday the staff were happy to help out in any way. I would recommend this company.

We had to change the camper on the first night due to issues with and the camper and it wasn't very clean bearing in mind what you pay for these would expect better, having said that they promptly bought out and swapped over the camper and had no issues after that the people working at the Hobart office were very helpful and friendly and couldn't do enough to help great service

Exceptional customer service. Terrific motorhome. The 6 berth was perfect for touring Tasmania. I would definitely recommend Maui and Britz.
