Main Street Derby reviews
20Don’t let the front fool you, this place is amazing! We stopped in for coffee and breakfast and were greeted with a friendly welcome. The service was wonderful and the food was spot on! Would most certainly recommend giving this spot a try.
Very nice place to get lunch or breakfast, we had both! Cheeseburgers were excellent and well fried chips as well. Breakfast options of eggs your way and big breakfast also very good and did not disappoint.
Wow! What a great place, great location and great tucker, my tip is to order and go eat out on the decking, beautiful view of the Ringarooma River and hills and valley.
To the host Christie “thank you”
Once a thriving tin mining town. Lots of history to explore & if your into mountain biking the town now hosts an abundance of trails for the beginner all the way through to the hardened rider
Visiting Derby from Hobart as we are going to the floating sauna. Came to Main Street for dinner beforehand, the food was honestly amazing, and we are quite picky! Good pricing, and serving sizes, super impressive for a small town restaurant. Also the waitress was super lovely!
Great selection of craft beer, great food, interesting artwork and a great outdoor deck with views of the river and beyond.
This town is lucky to have a restaurant of this calibra. Food excellent and reasonably priced.
Loved it.
Food was tasty - after a false start.first meal they brought over was luke warm. But the place doesn't have much ambiance. Strange layout & noisy.
12 of us have visited many times, all meals have been delicious, staff are welcoming and friendly, large drinks list, we always have a great visit, thank you! Meals are on the bigger side but takeaway containers available.
Delicious feed and coffee! Best spot in Derby. We stopped along our road trip to bay of fires and had amazing beef and chicken burgers. The homemade chips were amazing too. Hope to come back one day soon! Don’t miss this spot!
Everything about this place is considered, and quite, quite lovely. The food was truly excellent (we had the cider pork belly and roasted vegetable salad). The server (and owner/manager) was fantastic - really knew her stuff and gave excellent recommendations for drinks, which turned out to be perfect for us. Easily the best food we've eaten in Tassie. It's our first time here, and apparently the new managers have only been running this place for a month, but already they are nailing it. Even the art is just perfect. Highly recommended!
Host provided a fantastic dining experience, great knowledge with their products both good and beverages, great selection of beverages and outstanding knowledge of cocktails. Our food options were great, very balanced meals. Thank you.
A great little restaurant on main street in Derby. Perfect after a long day on the tracks. The food was terrific, wall art was questionable. Recommend the pumpkin gnocchi or fried chicken burger.
First of top rate service from the new owners, amazing food, great variety and great prices, do not go past this one, highly recommended
Excellent fast service and great food with generous portions. Props to the kind tall bearded guy who served us both times we ate here and was super proactive at making sure we had water at our table. Really appreciate that and wish it was more common.
Amazing food and drinks, amazing service, amazing atmosphere and outlook! This was a highlight of our Tassie trip. The Salmon was the best I have ever had!
Ate here tonight with family, food was amazing, very impressive, exceeded what we expected in such a small town. Service was great, some excellent craft beers (being just pale ales:). Definitely recommend and will be coming back next time we are in Derby
The interior is spacious and quirky, and the view fom the deck is amazing.
We were well taken care of by the staff, they served half a meal for the kid.
Pricing was comparable to other venues in the area, and food was delicious.
Nice view nice spot but almost 2 hours of wait just for a platter and a main. Bit long on a quiet Monday night. Food was alright but nothing worth 2 hours of wait
The venue is really lovely, modern and comfortable.
One of the best steaks i've ever had, tender, juicy, flavoursome, expensive, but worth it. The mushroom sauce was incredible, the veg was divine.
The chicken skewers were great but felt a little lacking on the quantity of chicken.
This is not the feed I was expecting from a country town, very up market, very lush.
My only complaint is that the service was quite reactive, not proactive.
But the staff seem nice enough.
Will definetely be back.
