Low Head Tourist Park reviews
51This is an excellent park. The owners are lovely, the amenities are very good and the location is excellent.
Well laid out spacious and level Powered caravan sites with amenities centrally located for convenience, we stayed on one of two en-suite site which is clean and generous in size all sites have own rubbish bins emptied regularly. Site manager very friendly and approachable. Definitely recommend as it is a short drive into Georgetown which is well served with daily necessities restaurants and cafes.
Really tidy little park, fantastic location, great camp kitchen. But disappointed in not having a good hot shower, and shower head.
Flights were delayed arrived feeling exhausted, we entered the office and were greeted with a friendly smile, Paul took the time to show us the accommodation. It was good old fashioned friendly service, will definetly choose to stay again.
Good large areas and level bitumen section for vans. Facility's seem to be updated recently and very clean. Good spot for a night or two and too far from the shops.
Love this place Allen and his wife are so down to earth and very helpful
Will always stay here when in Tassy
$15 for the first night then $10thereafter amazing value
With dump point and water
We had a powered tent site. The area was lovely, well maintained. Small kitchenette was very helpful and again, well maintained. The people were super friendly and helpful
We stayed in a waterview cabin. It was spotlessly clean, comfortable and well equipped. Park eas very quiet despite it being during the school holidays
This park ticked all the boxes - clean modern amenities, quiet, neat well kept grounds, great camp kitchen, very helpful managers, great wifi, GREAT value. Many thanks
Great well maintained place to stay. Had a powered ensuite site. Very clean and well maintained. Friendly staff. Dog friendly which is big plus. Quiet evenings however we did have 3 van sites away a noisy neighbour who let dogs run around unleashed chasing wildlife at night and used high noise vacuum cleaner on what would have been a peaceful Sunday morning. NOT park's fault but tells you about other fellow vanners courtesy for others or abuse of park rules. Good area to use as a base for many other attractions in the north east region of Tasmania. Well done. 5 Stars.
Yes great park, good sized sites new ammenities well maintained grounds would recommend a stay here
Absolutely loved it. Was greeted by an amazing women who was extremely friendly. Room was amazing. Views were amazing. I will DEFINITELY be back
Absolutely appalling owner (female manager or owner) verbally insulted and attacked myself over a small incident involving my child, I tried to de escalate, apologise and make the situation better however she continued to front my child, swore at myself and threatened to kick us out. She then bailed up one of my staff whom were also staying at the park having a go at him, We left on our own accord as we felt very un welcome and unnecessarily belated and attacked. From speaking to a few other locals this is pretty normal behaviour from her. Will never return or recommend this park to anyone simply based on this staff member who does not have any appropriate social skills what so ever.
Stopped here for the night on a business trip, was running well behind schedule and was going to miss the reception hours.
After calling through they were able to make arrangements for me to collect the key and boom gate fob from a safe place and where to leave it if checking out early.
Room was spacious and clean, well presented throughout with verandah and dedicated parking space for the cabin.
Door access via key was a little tricky, but got it eventually, key may be worn?
This is one of the most amazing caravan park stays ever. We have been travelling around Tasmania for 3mnths and have stayed in caravan parks all the way, but this is a standout park. As soon as you enter you can see the easy layout, flat, manicured green lawns, bitumen roads and sites. Everything is pristine, spotlessly clean, along with friendly, amazing staff. Best ever.
Lovely spot by the Tamar River.beautifully kept lawn areas.facilities very neat and very clean.polite kind staff.peaceful atmosphere.a great place to stay.short drive from the shops and for those who like to walk a fairly long walk but.shops are within walking distance.good beaches nearby
Very flat area, maybe for camper trailers ring first.
Good to try some local fishing in these areas.
Or just to site see.
Sorry no pictures of caravan park it, s self but we did go to so many different places here are some of them including museums.
Had such a lovely stay at this caravan park. The sunset was beautiful over the water. Very friendly staff. Would return if we're ever back this way.
Short notice and late arrival but they got us in a cabin. Clean, great location, served our needs very well and will definitely go back when next in Tas.we loved it
Don't take site 17. Next to ablution block.
The lights come on all night and shine into your site and you can hear 'Everything' going on in there. Worst nights sleep for ages.
Then in the morning I find that the caravan next to me was charged less even though I had a tiny non powered site. Moved up the road to the next CP for my second night.
