Absolutely delicious food! I ordered calamari and it was so tender. Unpretentious atmosphere and front of house staff that genuinely care about your enjoyment of the food. The views are next level amazing!

Stumbled upon this place for a quick bite coming back from Port Arthur and the food is genuinely amazing (had schnitzels and sticky date pudding) Come here if you want to experience town tavern vibes!

Felt welcomed from the moment we walked in; watched the stormy weather crossing the bay as we enjoyed our bottle of wine. My husband and l shared our meals.the absolute stand out was the Pork and Scallops. A resaurant meal in a local pub at reasonable prices.what more can you ask for!

Waited over an hour and a half for our meals, only to be told, that the scallops were sold out. Meals, when finally served, were very disappointing.

I went with my family. It was my first visit. The guy behind the bar was very helpful but the waiting staff need some training. Our entrees arrived and put down in front of the children at the table but no cutlery so I went and asked for some.
Then the mains arrived they were delivered to the correct person and the staff walked away I called her back to ask if she could please take our entree plates and the response was do you want the cutlery. We said no we had enough clean ones thank you.
I had ordered the Duck spring rolls for my entree.
5 spring rolls with plum sauce it says on the menu. Not on my plate, 2 duck spring rolls and 3 very skinny plain spring rolls you get in catering packs from the supermarket and no plum sauce.
The mains were lovely and my lamb rump was delicious.
Unfortunately with only 2 others in the restaurant it certainly lacked atmosphere. It could be so good if abit more care was taken.

Yeah the Lewi. Bit of an institution. The southern fried chicken burger is cracking, way better than the big burger places in Hobart. The Lewi Tav does it well.

The good reviews were not misleading, the food was amazing! Good variety, cooked to perfection, staff couldn't be more helpful when we phones ahead looking for somewhere for dinner at the last minute.good value for money. The Tavern isn't decorated all fancy but it's service with a smile and a very happy stomach.
