Lease 65 reviews
26Best BEST biggest and freshest oyster I have had in Tassie, worth the 3 hours drive just to come here
Friendly service and great quality oysters, just be sure to take cash with you as they don't do Eftpos.
Absolutely fantastic taste! The best and the freshest oyster I ever had. The staff are friendly as well. Highly recommend! I will miss the oyster from Melbourne.
Legit best oysters ever, yum, so fat, creamy and juicy, yum. Great value, $23 for a dozen, went back for seconds.
Very nice oysters from Lease 65! Not the biggest but definitely a great taste and worthy of the cost.highly recommend Lease 65 for a good feed of oysters.
The best oysters we have ever had, grabbed 2 doz on the way to The Gardens and ate them on the beach.amazing
This must be the best oysters in Tasmania - really fresh and big. We went there two times.
Came here on Wednesday 25/01/2023. Worst experience ever as We found a live worm? (not sure what it is) in the oyster.
We went back to asked the lady who served us. She said it was normal. Don't ask me how we feel. For my understanding is when food are ready to eat which means the food should be clean and not still with any live bugs or else. We definitely won't come back anymore! Yuck! !
$20 for a dozen of shucked oyster, what else can you ask for? As previous reviewers mentioned, bring your own toothpicks/forks and lemons and eat right in your car.
Best oysters in Tasmania! So glad they were open today as we drove past. Weather had caused them to close over recent days and we thought we would miss out.
Bought two dozen of closed oysters and one dozen of open. From other posted pictures, it appears to be an eating place at the venue but there isn’t. They just sell oysters, and you have to eat somewhere else. I took mine to our accommodation and shucked a dozen for immediate consumption and compared them with already opened oysters. Self-shucked oysters taste far better (obviously) : creamier with added brine saltiness from inside the shells. I normally shuck South Australian oysters with a bit of effort but these Tassie oysters are easy to open with a right tool. Try eating with Tabasco and Japanese light soy sauce if you want a different taste profiles.
My family and I absolutely loved the oysters here! I had high expectations after reading all the great reviews and am glad that I wasn’t disappointed. We ordered 4 dozen oysters and stood by our car enjoying them. The oysters were really plump and juicy, definitely more on the briny side too which is my preference! We had oysters in a few other places throughout our Tasmania trip and I think these were still the best
*cash only ($20 opened oyster / dozen, $2 extra for lemon). No shop front & stop by the road.
Our second time there and confirm this is by far the best oysters we had in Tassie! (we tried Melshell, Freycinet Marine Farm & Get shucked).
Hands down the best oysters in Tassie. Way better than Freycinet oysters. And very good pricing too. Buy a dozen and ate on roadside. Would visit again!
Dozen oysters for $20! You should bring your own lemon.we ate them straight away. *be careful Cash Only!
Fat, fresh, sweet oysters from farm directly. It’s a supplier but do retail too.
In addition, if you head to or from coles bay, you might try Freycinet Marine Farm, I will suggest don’t waste $$$ there. I tried both, write ️ this comment right at Freycinet Marine Farm.
Nice Oysters with a very affordable price. Unfortunately they don't provide lemons and a bit Covid crazy.
Freshest oysters ever! However we didn’t get oysters here cos their staff aren’t fully vaccinated and they aren’t open to public. We got them from the skipper.
Must visit place for Oyster lovers.
Thank you for providing amazing product with affordable price!
I’m an oyster addict Have tried oysters from so many places (and countries). I have to say that Lease65 oysters (straight from their farm) were my favourite. Price was reasonable and quality was top, so creamy and yummm! Highly recommended to go there and got yourself a dozen if you are in Tassie or Bay of fire area.
