Launceston Visitor Information Centre reviews
27The staff here made you feel so welcome, that nothing was too much trouble, and we left there with alot more helpful idea's and things we could do. Highly recommended
Staff here were very friendly and helpful. Nice clean venue with lots of information available. They help to book tours and can tell you more about them.
They need some public toilets here and maybe the opportunity to buy some water as people visiting are usually travelling. I may have just missed these features on my visit.
Good information worth a visit to see what is around. Make sure u ask about the free tiger bus that takes u around Launceston for the timetable! Also if u book the river cruise and u keep your ticket it can give u discounts on some restaurants and Boags tours and Automobile meuseum 10% so be sure to ask about that as didn’t know till we boarded the river cruise today and could of saved money on Boags tour when we booked with river cruise!
Susan was absolutely fantastic, booked things in for the next 4 days, sorry we didn't go to her earlier, couldn't highly recommend them enough, thank you
You can get some good buys here that represent Launceston and Tasmania. The ladies here are great
We went in for some suggestions on what to do for the day.we should have just goggled, guy at front desk wasnt really helpfull, told us what we could do the following day, want some ideas where to eat, local attractions etc
The lady who help it's was superb. She answered all our questions in a most helpful way. Great.
Was a nice little infor centre, unfortunately due to the rainy weather they couldn't give us many options for things to do while in town.
Staff very helpful and we agree Latrobe is nice thriving town. Even found excellent car wash. Information on Tamar Valley also helped us to fully appreciate area.
Great advice, very friendly, exceptional staff knowledge but felt like chatting to an old friend.
We came to the info centre without a super clear idea of what to do with our Tasmania holiday, but after speaking with Dorothy she completely set us up and gave the most brilliant information and help, even calling around to help us book accommodation and car rentals! She was the most helpful person and totally made our holiday, we are so grateful for her - if you are in Launceston and are even a little unsure what to do, go here!
Good local information. We discovered the free Tiger bus ourselves though. I feel the visitor centre should've mentioned that as said we didn't have a car (we arrived in our dinghy, left our boat anchored way up river at Spring Bay)
The lady who helped us was very chatty and informative giving us plenty of paper maps to peruse at our leisure. With so many options it will be hard to decide where to go and what to leave for next visit.
Thanks to Susan we are currently enjoying a 4hr Tamar River Cruise (she gave us a 10% off voucher). Susan was so helpful, gave us maps and ideas of how to maximise our stay.
Staff was very friendly and helpful, but the venue is quite small and pamphlets were a bit generic. Nice souvenirs though.
Lovely ladies running the information centre. Very informative and lots of suggestions from ladies.
We arrived at closing time, but they stayed open long enough for Dorothy to provide plenty of information in a very friendly and helpful manner.
This is located inside the beautiful post office building. Not a very big setup but yes serves the purpose fully. Onsite staffs are very helpful. Definitely pay a visit as the staff members are very helpful and saves a lot of your time if you want to make decisions that what things you should do as per your interests. This guidance become very helpful if you have limited time to spend in Launceston. The nearby landmarks are a beautiful library and a very shiny and beautiful government house building.
When visiting Tassie a great place to visit for your information to see all the interesting places in Tassie
