Launceston Holiday Park reviews
41 We stayed in one of the onsite cabins, everything was clean and well provided if a little dated, but it was priced accordingly.
Good facilities and even taught the kids to play pool on the free pool table in the rec room.
It was warm when we stayed and the cabin wasn't fitted with aircon but, with the windows open and the fan provided it soon cooled the place down and we had a great night's sleep.
The park is tucked a little way out of Launceston but that isn't a big issue, there's shops nearby if you need anything.
Great park friendly staff close to all tourist attractions. Amenities clean and tidy will stay
Here again
Cheers Don
Stayed on an unpowered site with a swag and car. Facilities were great, toilets and showers were the cleanest we've seen on our travels and lovely hot showers with good shower heads and great water pressure. The staff were so kind and helped me find my lost wallet. We liked it so much we stayed there 2 seperate times while we were in Launceston.
Lovely quiet park, plenty of wildlife and the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable and about Launceston and the surrounding area. I would recommend this park.
Cabins are old, and not incredibly clean, they need to be renovated or replaced in my opinion.
Service is great, the staff are lovely.
Location is ok, however despite the name, it’s not really in Launceston at all, it’s in the neighbouring town of Legana. It’s also right next to the A7 Highway, so not the place to go if you want peace and quiet. The bush setting is quite nice though.
The cabins are comfortable enough for an overnight stay. The grounds / gardens could do with a little maintenance. I even saw a rat running around in the garden while here. The noise from the highway can penetrate into the cabins during the day but at night it is fine. The staff are friendly and the price to stay here is better than most places in the greater Launceston area.
A little tight on space and found dog dirt outside our door, too close to the highway so a bit noisey. Clean facilities though and friendly/efficient staff.
Free wifi? I don’t think so. The network did not show up… it’s a great park! Nice camping experience. Ground is ideal for pitching tents, although I would recommend a sturdy mallet because it can be quite hard at times. The highway noise is a little loud when sleeping. It was not an issue to me however. If you do need a quiet space to sleep, I would recommend earplugs or noise canceling earbuds.
Great place to stay if you’re looking for somewhere a little bit quieter - less than 15mins out of town, great value for money too at almost half the price of their big-name competitor in town for a powered site.
Special thanks to Annette who went above and beyond to return an item of ours that was left behind when we stayed, thanks heaps!
We really enjoyed our stay?
Tidy, nicely laid out cabins, beautiful bushland/trees surroundings, very relaxed and a welcoming family holiday space?
A great place to stay. Very quiet and peaceful. The staff are friendly and willing to help with any problems you have.
Travelling around the great state of Tasmania and we came across this gem. Arrived at 4pm, after a powered site for our motorhome. Annette offered a slab site which suited us perfectly. Close to the camp kitchen and shower block. We were unpacking and Annette even offered us a fire pit to warm up beside. Quite possibly the best night of our holiday, interacting with fellow travellers and checking out the wildlife. Rustic amenities with beautiful hot showers, reasonably priced and service with a smile. Nothing was a bother. If I could give more stars I definitely would.
I stayed at this lovely park recently, together with my sister who was visiting from interstate. We had my 2 house-trained kelpies with us and were provided with a very cosy 2 bedroom cabin. The park is a quaint, humble spot.just the way I like it. The cabin was clean and came with fresh towels and linen. The price was very reasonable and the staff are lovely. I will be back and will recommend to friends.
Absolutely amazing.friendly staff, very clean cabin with everything you need.nice touch with the electric blanket on the bed for the colder nights.highly recommend
Always genuine and friendly staff. Helped me out of a jam when my engine had problems and couldn't arrive till late. Good old fashioned service and a trusting owner who's values are part of a dying breed of humans. Sad, but glad I can always stay somewhere in Launceston where it's comfortable, safe and the staff are friendly and willing to help always. Simple, but good facilities, fairly quiet if your camping out the back. A good stop over spot.
Cabin was ok for cost but very disappointed that only one bed was made up for our 4 person stay. Beds looked as if sheets had been taken off from previous stay doona and pillows left as if just got out of bed. When complained was told they never make beds other than main bed. Not acceptable. Came to washing dishes and no dish liquid or tea towel. Covid safe? No way nothing other than the speal on their website. Never will stay again. Worst place we have stayed over MANY YEARS.very tired and feeling of uncleanliness.
Enjoyed our stay. A great place to chill out for A few days. Close to shops and the city shops. Really love Launceston.
Service with a smile - they can't do enough to accommodate your needs. We recently stayed here during a quick trip to Launceston. We required two separate beds and room for two dogs. The service from the very first phone call was A1 - so welcoming, polite and accommodating. We stayed in a 2 bed cabin. Looks like it had received a recent refurb with everything in top notch condition and ever so clean. We had a lovely little garden area out the front of our cabin (handy for fur baby midnight wees) and very handy/close car parking. It's a quick 10 minutes from the city centre so very convenient and very conveniently priced. Will definitely stay again when we're up that way next. Would particularly recommend if you're travelling with (*well behaved) doggos.
Lovely Manager, very helpful. Had everything we needed after 3 days on the beach. Dryers could do with an update though.
Not clean, found head hairs between the sheets, smell of sewage in the bathroom, was not impressed
