Launceston Central Apartments reviews
23Wotif were a nightmare to deal with but Bibbek was super helpful and helped us sort everything. Great staff, perfect location.
Lovely staff. Went above and beyond to make the check in and check out a breeze. The desk manager even helped us carrying our baggage to our car. Rooms are lavish and clean.
Apartment was spacious and provided all the amenities we needed. It was easy to walk to restaurants and attractions nearby.
We had the pleasure of staying at central apartments prior and after accomplishing the overland track. Central apartments held our excess luggage whilst we were away. The reception staff were helpful, accomodating and very friendly. Our room was clean and luggage waiting in our room on arrival back from OL track. A special mention to Paul who was heading towards the airport and personally took the time to drop us off for our flight. I will be back with this kind of friendly service.
Not worth it guys - nosy room, uncomfortable bed and room not up to my standards of cleanliness…
We only had a short stay but the people on reception were extremely polite and helpful. The location was close to cafés and restaurants.
Nice place, but had to park in the carpark across the road. A bit of a pain if you have luggage.
A large apartment which, though somewhat tired, is situated in a building with a great location.
The apartments are central to the Launceston CBD with everything within walking distance including ships, restaurants, parks and the shore. I ran daily and found a variety of running routes including into Cataract Gorge, along the river and into farmland. There is plenty to see and do nearby from shopping to sightseeing around historic buildings and points of interest. The apartments are self contained and well appointed. They have a day time reception on site who were helpful. The apartments are not luxury but are very comfortable and well appointed.
Nice location, but ageing facility - wouldn't recommend.
Cons:
- Rooms were very damp and smelled moist.
- No windows could be opened and I don't believe there was any fresh air intake for the air conditioners.
- One air con was make a ringing sound that wouldn't let you sleep.
- None of the bathroom exhaust fans worked and without any fresh air to the rooms or toilets/bathrooms, it became very unpleasant very quickly!
- Couch was basically falling apart.
- Check-in instructions for a public holiday were unclear, as staff had informed us incorrectly over the phone prior to check-in.
Pros:
- Location and the type of accommodation with some rooms (even on ground level) that were either above ground level or just below - kind of like an American city.
- HIGHLIGHT: Bibek was a legend in terms of customer service. He did everything he could in his power to make our stay comfortable. From a mobile air con to chocolates for kids and quick service and a great attitude.
Spacious, clean and very central accommodation. Great value for money. Friendly efficient service
No parking for vehicles that have high clearance. Street parking is not cheap, we felt that they could told us this ealrier dispite several phone calls. Old TV's are different to navigate and our remote didnt work. Old Air Con, which only has slow speeds. Clean bathroom but soiled carpets. Air con winow doesn't go down fully as this is to enable the pipe to go out, this also means wasted aircon, and lould noise from the clock tower. Desk ladies were lovely, and very informative. Though company rules that they can't help you at your room from 9am which means have to wait despite there desk opening at 8am. The hallway smells of cooking and spices which was a bit if a turn off (not good cooking smells). Location is excellent with main street onlh a block away. Overall wouldn't stay again, but good for people on a budget.
Very helpful and welcoming reception. Spacious and immaculate room ensuite and dining completed by a view over Launceston and woke to hear distant clock tower chime the hour. I would visit again.
We had an unplanned trip to Launceston and we did not know how long we had to stay for. The manager and receptionists were always professional, accommodating, patient, and helpful. They always reassured us despite the uncertainties regarding our trip and checked in on us whenever we bumped into each other in the lobby
Rooms were spacious, clean, and had all that we needed.
Thank you, Bibek, Jess, and Brianna.
We stayed in the One bed room apartment. The room was a self contained service apartment. Great location and excellent service. The staff are very efficient and provide personal attention to our needs and making our stay most comfortable and enjoyable one throughout our 3 nights stay.
We had the most comfortable and enjoyable stay in our cozy two-bedroom apartment. It begins with the super friendly concierges who wave and say hi when they see you on your way in and out of the lifts.
The apartment is huge and roomy, with a laundry and bathroom (with toilet and bath) on entry, followed by a spacious kitchen area. The living space has a sofa and armchair, as well as a desk and chair in the corner. There's also a dining table with multiple chairs.
The main bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a toilet and shower. We requested 2 single beds in the other bedroom, which was fulfilled. Both rooms are very spacious with plenty of room to open 2 suitcases without needing to climb over them like you would in a hotel room. It is pretty warm in the apartment, but there are also heaters in both bedrooms, and large windows letting in the sunlight.
The decor is classy and comfortable, with wood, creamy colours and splashes of turquoise. The whole place was super clean, one of the cleanest places I've stayed which is impressive given how large the apartment is with so many surfaces. But not a speck of dust was to be found. This was our favourite stay during our Tasmania trip, and incredibly affordable at $200 a night in December.
The studio room is a reasonable size and very clean and comfortable. Thoughtful design, with nice lighting. The kitchen is well appointed for a short stay. Large bathroom. The staff are excellent. There are some minor maintenance faults with the room (some things coming loose, sticky windows, dripping tap) but nothing that would put us off staying again. Great location!
We stayed for three nights in a one bedroom apartment, and I can highly recommend this hotel, which is an older building with tasteful and comfortable renovations. The apartment was spacious, well appointed, with nice views of the city, and we loved having a full kitchen, with a large light filled bedroom and comfy bed. We enjoyed the great location, which is walking distance to many restaurants, shops, parks, etc. You also can access parking nearby if you need it. Very helpful staff.
Stayed for 3 nights staff were lovely and communication was good. We had a 2 bedroom apartment yes it is very well situated, it had a clean kitchen with a dishwasher- beds were comfortable with clean linen. However the room had a stench that was horrible you can’t open any windows to air it out so had to put up with it. The carpets were gross and the curtains and windows were dirty bathroom needed extra cleaning. The air con didn’t work very well and it was to small for the size of the apartment. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
Excellent stay in the heart of Launceston. Great staff - very friendly and professional. Recommend it for short or longer term stay.
