Lakeside Tourist Caravan Park reviews
42Thanks Jacqueline and Simon! Excellent service and attitude. The facilities are in perfect conditions and extremely clean. Highly recommendable
Had a fabulous stay with my family over the school holidays. Close to many interesting locations and attractions. Friendly staff. Great atmosphere, other campers were also friendly and everyone happy to provide info about the local area. Good clean facilities.
Lovely clean caravan park. Great amenities and spotless. Private ensuites for caravaners. Close to Devonport and surrounding areas.
Beautiful park! Do yourselves a favour and put on your to go place. Perfect to stay before or after your Spirit of Tasmania trip. Only 15 mins from Devonport SOT terminal.
Fabulous caravan park. A 10 minute beautiful drive from Devonport. Modern and lovely facilities spotlessly clean. Beautiful grounds surrounded by trees, lake on one side. Super friendly and very accommodating hosts.just a lovely place to stay
One night in our van, great location. Could use a few more signs if there is no GPS.
Amenities are very clean, owner metioned, they had been improving the park from when they bought it.
Would recommend the park.
Spent a night here after a looooong journey on the ferry and honestly can say this was one of the best holiday parks in the country. We loved the home-y feel that you just can’t get at the other large chain run parks. Thanks for having us ️
We rate this Caravan park as one of the best we have ever stayed in. Congratulations on having the cleanest amenities block. We have already booked for next year
Been on the road all over Australia for 5 months, 5+ stars great price (especially for peak season) the kitchen and amenities were spotless best campground we’ve been to so far by far!
The best place to getaway close to town, bush setting makes you feel 100 miles away. Friendly staff amenities are beautiful and clean the park is dog friendly, playground equipment for the kids what more could you ask for. For me it number 1.
I would give 0 stars if it allowed me to horrible customer service
Doesn't even give a warning about what we can and can't do.
Could've been a bit more polite about the rules.
Great park next to a stunning blue lake filled with blue water.
Great owner very helpful. Its such a shame that someone bought the lake.
The owner of the park should acquire this piece of real estate.
Very well spaced out sites.
Lovely park, views, clean, tidy and privacy!
Would love to give more stars, the owner, lady, was very short and seemed to think we wanted to live there, rather then camp for 2 weeks.
We booked for about a week then wanted to extend 1 more week before moving on.
She told my partner they were fully booked and made him feel uncomfortable booking an extra 2 nights.
Thankfully we have a house we've settled in but when we go back to the north west, we'll be avoiding this park for that reason.
It's always nice to feel welcome when you stay somewhere.we certainly didn't!
A lovely caravan park with plenty of room. The amenities were new as was the camp kitchen. A credit to the owners.
Great place for a break, close to Devonport. Kids have a blast swimming in the river and on the playground.
What a great place. After four years down in Tasmania I eventually found myself looking for places that I haven't yet stayed, and Lakeside was one. I visited several years ago but decided against it as I was in a rush and it was quite run down and unappealing. That's all changed. New owners have poured a proverbial ton of energy, money and love into this place and it's stunning. An incredible turnaround. Highly recommended.
Stayed a week, thoroughly enjoyable. Great location for touristy things, very central. Even better for mtbing, short drives to trailheads of Railton, Sheffield and Latrobe. Park owners are very friendly, polite and knowledgeable which is reflected in presentation of park and amenities. Stayed over Easter weekend whilst park was close to max capacity with wet weather thrown in and everything went like clockwork, Saturday night tunes by local musician were terrific. Highly recommended, will stay longer next time.
The park is clean and tidy, family and dog friendly, with excellent cabins and amenities. It's situated in a quiet location that's perfect for exploring the surrounding areas and towns. Thanks for the stay, and we'll be back!
5 star amenities. Spacious sites. Newly renovated. Lovely location. Just need water to all powered sites.
Great caravan park clean & tidy amenities, friendly caretakers, great camp kitchen fully stocked with just about everything you need for cooking.
Lovely surroundings bordering the Don River & close to town although it feels like your out in the country.
Great play area for kids.
Loved our stay.
