Lake Dobson reviews
11Beautiful place to visit. Just got the chance to enjoy the snow as our timing was perfect.
2023/10/31 Super beautiful snow scenery, you can go around Lake Dobson for 30-40 minutes, it is flat and easy to walk, and there is another small lake at the end, a great place!
This is such a nice little walk! Only 40 minutes return. We met an old lady along the way, she was walking with a tongkat and managed to do the whole walk! Incredible. The whole place is very calm and nice. The walk is very easy and you can do a loop back to the carpark. I heard you can spot platypus here!
It is a beautiful place to go alone or with company. The track is very well managed and the lake is astonishing.
Got our van up, drive dead slow as we met five vehicles coming down in the afternoon and it's sketchy narrow in parts. Plenty of parking for the many trailheads. The lakes and tarns are extremely beautiful in all weathers. Spend the whole day here. Ladies, it is still a pristine place, because I buried someone else's loo paper.
Gorgeous lake. Walk around the different tracks near it for lots of different views. The pandani Grove is beautiful. We were here in October and there was lots of snow around it and up towards tarn shelf track. Can highly recommend!
Windy at the top, wear warm cloth in winter time, easy 25-35min circle. A spacious shelter at the entry, not easy to drive up here. So many water holes and sharp turn.
Gravel road, smelly restrooms, location is beautiful, calm and cold. Not far from Russell fall but takes longer to get there because of road. Location is very quite. Should bring enough food and water to this place.
Always love taking our tropical living friends and family up there.for most it is the first time they have ever seen snow.and it's in my backyard!
A must see in Mount Field National Park. There is a short walk around the lake and from the car park you can start longer walks. There is ample parking and the drive up to the lake is spectacular. Just take you time on the road and drive to the conditions. If you are doing a winter trip.than this is a wonderful alpine environment with the usual environmental challenges.
