Lagoon Beach Campground reviews
12 Was crowded as usual in summer. No fires is a good move in easing the stress on the vegetation.
Dunnies needed a service.
Good crowd and quiet at night.
Great free camp with my wife and maverick our vizla in our van even though it rained it was still a great spot and the beach was fantastic also has toilets I woul do recommend get in early as afternoon as it filled up very quickly
Simple bush camping with composting toilets. Quite a large number of sites with no option to pre-book. Plenty of wildlife and right by a nice beach for a swim.
Multiple camp sites ranging from quite open to secluded. Our site was on the very edge of the lagoon and beach. No other campers in immediate sight. Fabulous view. Began the morning with a wonderful sunrise and walk up the beach. Toilet a short distance away if needed.
Well sheltered campground by the beautiful beach and calm lagoon, which you can swim next to the birds.
It was a nice spot! The people there were very friendly, the only downside is there's no bins or water. The toilets were ok, they're hybrid so they do smell a bit but ive definitely seen worse.
There were a few mozzies about so take insect repellent as well.
Only did a day trip but looks like a great place to stay for a free camping spot. Camp area is sheltered, the beach not so much.
Great free camping for the whole family (even your dog), usually busy but can always find a spot - plenty of room.
Long drop toilets usually clean enough.
Bring your own toilet paper, water and power.
Awesome place to camp with your dogs. Have to be on lead but they can run free on the beach. Dogs to the left and fishing to the right. People go canooing in the lagoon too. Beach is beautiful. Surf can be rough sometimes, wave break quickly so don't imaging it's good for surfers. They'll be waiting a long time for that one wave to catch. People too scared to face the ice cold wrath of the ocean can have a dip in the warm lagoon that meets the beach.
Great big free campsite. It seems to be always busy but you always end up finding a spot. Right next to the beach. Toilets are fairly clean.
Clean toilets, beautiful sandy beach and lagoons. No rubbish bins, water or toilet paper. Suitable for self contained vehicles.
Absolutely stunning. Rangers on site was great. Beautiful beach! Large sites and planty to choose from. Toilets great (if you can handle huntsmen!). Free camping.expect to get dirty feet and clothing from black sand. But totally worth it! Sunsets and sunrise a real treat.
