La Bella Pizza Sandy Bay

La Bella pizza was fantastic for a great family meal. The pizzas were delicious, it was such a great place to go with family friendly staff.

Disappointing. We waiting 2 hours for our pizza delivery. I had to phone up twice only to be told they turned the delivery driver away as they hadn’t started making it after 1hr because they were “busy”. Flavourless pizza and a waste of money. Will not order again.

STORE HAD SMALL PIZZAS ON DISPLAY ALREADY MADE. NONE SUITED MY NEEDS SO I ASKED FOR ONE TO BE MADE AND THEY SAID I COULD ONLY BUY A LARGE PIZZA. I DIDNT NEED A LARGE PIZZA TO THROW OUT HALF. THESE GUYS WERE ALSO RUDE

Worst pizza ever had. Ordered two veg pizzas and it was already been prepared and kept in show. Heated em up and served us. It was still cold and really thick dough. Got stomache for two days after eating at this place.

Pizza is tasteless! First mistake I made was ordering after noticing Indians are running a pizza shop. The pizza by far the worst I’ve had since I can remember. Got through 1 piece and left the pizza in the shop. I went to solo pizza around the corner run by Italians who know how to make a decent pizza!
You blokes need to learn how to make a pizza with taste!

Used to be the best. More than happy to pay extra to support local. Been supporting them for years since I was a uni student in the late 90s. DO NOT BUY la Bella anymore. Friday night experience started when we ordered. We ordered in store not online. They didn’t apply the current value deal (which was printed right next to the counter) and didn’t understand me very well so I ended up paying about $20 more than I should have. Which turned out to be a huge waste of money because the cardboard the pizza came in had more flavour than each of the different flavoured pizzas we went for. Each was bland, tasteless and frankly, disgusting. We made it through a slice each before giving up. Never again, what the hell happened to this brilliant local business? The signage says they have been open since 1977 and I don’t doubt it but this feels a lot like new owners have taken over and have no idea what they are doing. If the old owners are still in charge then you need to go under cover and check your Sandy bay store because it’s ruining your reputation! Very disappointed and huge amount of money down the drain.

Terrible experience, order a delivery deal a few weeks back, took at least an hour or more to be delivered and was only 1km away from them. They had trouble finding the place but that is not my gripe with them. I ordered a 2 large pizza meal deal which included a garlic bread and 1.25l coke, the menu stated it cost $41.90 delivered and because I just eftposed it when the driver finally arrived on his machine he decided to charge $53.49 to my savings account. Their family meal deal with 2 family pizzas was only $51.90 so I don't know how he came up with that number. Pizzas were fairly average and nothing to write home about. I tried to reach out the next day on Facebook messenger but they wouldn't respond to me. So after many attempts to speak with them I left some discerning comments on their fb page about my bad experience and notice other comments from people and that I was not alone in not being happy with there service. I checked their page a few days later and notice they had swept all the bad comments off and left the best pizzas in town comments on which were probably written by the owners, staff and what not. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone try dinos or regazzi you won't regret. ;)

The GF pizza was small and quite over cooked. Fairly poor in comparison to other GF bases around Hobart

I’ve been there few times. Prince is one of the customer service boy who always there. Every time I go there he deal differently. On the menu prices are different with the large deal but if customer ask the large deal specially wit peri peri pizza then he charges differently. Today I went around 8: 45 and ask him small peri peri pizza but he said sold out. I asked him chicken is there sauce is there how come it’s not available then he told me to buy large peri peri. Just a poor customer service and so unprofessional

Not great pizza, minimal flavor and briosch like base, strange texture.if you're looking for a good classic pizza this isn't it.great service and easy website but pizza missed the mark

Reasonable delivery time and still hot on arrival but bases are too thick and oily for our liking - if you want more traditional thin based Italian style pizza this probably isn’t the place

Now, let me just start with I'm not usually the type to leave a one star review. Totally get that Easter long weekend has left you busy, but seriously 2 hours
50 mins for a delivery - 5.6 km away? Explanation of "we knew we were busy so we just put a random delivery time on the online system for when you pizza will be delivered". 2 calls to to shop to chase up. No apology offered at any time. At least be honest at peak times about wait times. If you can't handle orders coming in as early 5.40pm perhaps you should be looking at your business model.

We ordered at 9: 25pm (5 minutes before closing time) and we put special instructions to both pizzas ordered.
They still made the order with the special instructions and had it delivered with no issues.
The pizza was good, the base was different to most places but we enjoyed it!

Worst pizza ever! No taste at all! Totally wastage of money. Service was good but the taste wasn’t. Thanks for having us for the first and last time.

I strongly advise you to never ever go there was a piece of broken glass in my pizza and I broke my tooth? Really run away I regret going there I am disgusted with pizza now.

Consistently good Pizza and great customer service from the guy who is regularly behind the counter. A gentleman and it is appreciated from my end.

When comparing to La Bella in Derwent Park it was not good quality food. We ordered family garlic prawn pizza. There was very less prawns, less cheese in it. Very disappointed with Sandy bay branch. Derwent Park is the best.

Walking past looking for a lunch spot and came across La Bella. Greeted warmly by pleasant staff member and invited to take a seat. Pizza arrived on an elevated platter with serving implement and was devoured promptly. Not a crumb remained. Excellent value for money too. The interior of the restaurant is full of memorabilia and fascinating to browse over. Will definitely return on next visit to Tasmania.

Plus the pizza was good
