75Beautiful with sweeping views of the city. Best to carry a jacket and good trekking shoes.
We drove up in "Lola" the camper van. Took a while as she's not the quickest or most powerful, but WOW! Was it worth it! Do yourself a favour and check it out! Absolutely breathtaking!
Awesome view of Hobart and surrounding areas. We went on a beautiful sunny day however it was still freezing on the mountain, bring a jacket.
I was fortunate enough to see it on a clear day. Although the road can seem anxiety inducing it was worth the drive, it was beautiful. The summit has toilets on top and an enclosed viewing area because it’s rather chilly. Be prepared and wear warm clothing.
Loved it. Beautiful spot that gives you a different experience and perspective of Hobart. Well worth a visit but it can be extremely cold so best to be prepared.
Great this time. Can be cold and windy and under cloud. Worth the trip up the windy road. Can see a view on line from a camera up there.
A must when visiting Hobart but take a tip from a local and check it's not in cloud when you visit.
As many said don’t go with T shirt. Keep your jumper on to visit this place. Do not go when it’s cloudy.
Road can be hard for new driver and abit cold once at top.
Alot of parking with toilet.
At top u can great view
It's a good hike up the mountain, but the track is loose in sections, that makes coming down a problem for your knees. It's a rare clear day, so don't be disappointed if you don't see much.
Winding roads to the summit itself. Should not be a difficult drive, but saw a car having heating issues and refilling water. May be something to consider.
Few places you can hike to and from summit. Consider if you’re a fan. The view is mid to okay compared to what other Tasmania natural destinations offer. I wouldn’t say it’s a must go.
Great spot to checkout - go during the week when it's not busy. On a clear day you can see Hobart and beyond
Lovely place, can see all of the Hobart city from up there. A small road leads you till the very top, so you don't have to walk much. You can play snow on good days! Highly recommended if you're traveling to Hobart just for few days.
My first trip to the top of Mount Wellington in 30 years. The road has definitely improved, although very narrow in places. Lots of places to stop along the way and admire the view. Several stages that may be closed in extreme weather conditions. Handy indicator board at the bottom to tell you it's open.
Just an incredible place. Walking up definitely the best way to experience it. Or run up in the P2P.
Enjoyed the tour on the bus to the pinnacle. Great view of hobart and surrounds once got through the cloud line
Absolutely stunning view from the top. A must visit in Hobart! It's quite chilly up there. Dress accordingly, take lots of layers and be prepared for changing weather conditions. Wind will make things hard. Can be quite busy at the car park. We had to wait a while to find a parking spot. Sunset view was absolutely spectacular.
Nice to go up on a non-cloudy clear day, you can see everything! There are viewing spots, a sheltered fireplace area for those who want to camp during the day, information about wildlife, etc. It's fun to climb the rocks, and sometimes there's little piles of snow when it's open, but if it snows or rains too much they close it off to the public because the road up can be dangerous. After the rain and snow, while driving through, you'll see lots of water trickling down to the bottom of the mountain. Full of green nature, and a lovely place to clear your head! Lots of hiking trails as well!
We visited on a windy but clear day. The views were amazing. The information in the viewing tower was very interesting. The road up is windy and narrow so speed limit needs to be adhered to but well worth it when you get to the top. Stopped at the cafe at the bottom and had a lovely coffee and sweet treat. Will visit again.
