We have just returned from a remarkable weekend at Kittawa Lodge where time became an afterthought and each moment becomes a delight to be savoured. There are so many special moments from the obvious beauty and natural surrounds to the little, thoughtful choices that Aaron and Nick have made to ensure this space is special.

The accomodation is simple and luxurious with a range of local and Tasmanian delights to indulge on while you drink in the views. Your hosts work tirelessly to share their knowledge and passion for King Island and strike the right balance between being friendly and attentive while giving you plenty of space.

The island has many things to discover and activities to enjoy and the lodge provides a perfect base to launch from and to return to refuel. The food was special, including a wonderful picnic hamper which we enjoyed looking over the 18th at Cape Wickham after a round of golf.

This place is right up there with the best that Australia offers in luxury, wilderness retreats and we are already planning our return. Thanks Aaron & Nick, keep up the awesome work!

Our stay at Kittawa has left us with a feeling of total fulfilment— a sense that we have treated ourselves to a long lasting positive experience.
Aaron and Nick have leaned into every aspect of their commitments to create a benchmark wilderness retreat.
A unique component of your Kittawa experience will be the level of personal effort that is not just part of part of the normal host relationship but also the attention to providing authentic King Island experiences of food and Tasmanian emerging wines chosen for their quality and exciting new regional releases.
Nothing is left to chance. From the moment we wandered through the front gate it became obvious that Kittawa has adopted an approach that ties this beautiful piece of land to its landscape. The native grasses sway across 100 acres of wild King Island coastline. The horizon from your lodge is spectacularly lit with broad sunsets. You can’t escape the draw and energy of the surging ocean below the lodge. You feel at one with wildlife who hardly notice you are there.
Your choices for daily activities are curated for your individual interests and garnished with special recommendations to visit and experience.
The accommodation is outstanding. Private unseen setting; pampered luxury bedroom; full separated rooms for bath (with a view) ; kitchen/dining; wood burning fireplace and wildlife to your windows.
As a guest you arrive in anticipation…. And leave as a friend of Kittawa and King Island.
What endures is a reflection on personal wellness and a desire for more.

Flawless. The most incredible lodge stay we have ever had the privilege of experiencing. Aaron and Nick have created something so special and unique, perfectly curated for the most extraordinary stay. Every single detail has been considered. It was an absolute joy for us to be guests and we can’t wait to return again soon.

What a divine place to stay! Aaron and Nick made us feel like we were staying with old friends (also in the most beautiful location in Aus). Every single aspect has been meticulously thought about - the food, drinks, comforts, and details. We couldn't have chosen a better place to spend our honeymoon.

An Oasis in the middle of rugged and wild King Island. Aaron and Nick are so accommodating, attending to your every wish and offering more (I can't imagine anything else that they could do for you)! The lodge is furnished with modern, clean, stylish furniture surrounded by beautiful artwork (for purchase), cosy fire, comfy bed and beautiful linens, a bath with a view of the ocean and wallabies (complete with babies) Beautiful bath products, state of the art kitchen complete with local pantry items and fully stocked fridge/bar and loads of books! The ethos here is eco and you don't have to look far to find it. The only thing you are left wanting here is the chance to be able to come back! Talk about feeling special. Thanks boys!

Kittawa Lodge is in our humble opinion the best that Australia has to offer. They may be a small establishment, AND they have a lot of WOW factor. If getting away from it all, being at one with nature is your thing - then this is the place for you! What is the twist? Rarely are the ‘remote’ lodges as stylish as this one with amazing hosts, scenery and food. It’s the perfect combination of all the luxuries in life, whilst switching off the outside world without compromising on design, comfort and amazing food and wine. We ate well, we soaked up the region and Frank’s some amazing wines - definitely a place to regularly retreat to for some amazing connection and energy. Well done Aaron and Nick - I know it looks effortless, but I know it isn’t and we truly appreciate the attention to detail and the guest centric approach. And we have a piece of artwork in our lounge room to remind us of our amazing stay and draw us back to your piece of paradise very soon. Thank you - highlight of the Dec trip this year

A Perfect weekend away to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Only four hours after leaving South Australia we arrived at Kittawa Lodge.
Nick and Aaron have created a wonderful place to enjoy the beaches, rock pools, wildlife, food, and fresh air of King island. The lodges are beautifully designed, decorated and located. Impeccably clean and with everything needed for a very comfortable stay.
We loved the daily provisions left to create suggested delicious meals highlighting the best of island produce, the views, beach walks, and curious wallabies.
Nick and Aaron are terrific, friendly hosts and a great source of information on everything King Island has to offer. We highly recommend Kittawa Lodge for a perfect weekend away.

We absolutely loved our stay at Kittawa Lodge. Nick & Aaron were absolute delights, so warm, inviting and professional. The lodges themselves are beautiful, the views are stunning, we loved watching the waves crashing in with the wallaby’s & joeys hopping around the sand dunes. The level of detail to make our stay as comfortable as possible was next level eg.coming home after a picnic (That they prepared!) to freshly made iced tea & a cute handwritten note. Meals made from fresh local produce, complimented by local Tasmanian wines. The hospitality, service, comfort was some of the best we’ve ever experienced. We left feeling so rested and relaxed and cannot wait to come back. Thanks again Nick & Aaron x

We absolutely enjoyed our time at Kittawa Lodge. Aaron and Nick have created an incredibly beautiful experience in which every detail has been meticulously planned, from the locally sourced produce to the superb Tasmanian beverages and their bespoke range of pampering products. Our home cooked meals were exquisitely delicious. We felt very cocooned in our gorgeous lodge and it was the perfect vantage point to view King Island's changing moods. We had a lot of visits from the local Bennett's wallabies and their joeys, and enjoyed a balance of local walks, day trips and lots of time to relax and unwind in the Lodge. Congratulations and thank you to Aaron and Nick for creating such a beautiful and tranquil experience.

Our stay at Kittawa Lodge on King Island was amazing. The lodge was beautiful with spectacular views. Nick and Aaron were fantastic hosts. We opted to have a 3 course meal cooked for us in our lodge on one of the nights, the courses were delicious and beautifully presented. One of our favourite walks, while we were on the Island, was straight down a private track from our lodge to the shore line. The shoreline of rocks, and mossy marsh was enchanting. Jen and Phil

My husband and I chose Kittawa Lodge to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and everything, just everything, was perfect. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome. Nick was there to warmly greet us and show us around what would be our home for two glorious days. Nick and Aaron have carefully considered every detail, big and small, to create the most relaxing, restorative and luxurious stay possible. The lodge was incredibly well appointed with everything we could possibly need - all the things you would expect plus plenty of charming surprises, like a picnic basket, Akubras and Wellington boots for walks around the shoreline. And the food! Every meal we ate was beyond delicious. We were thoroughly spoiled with the best of King Island’s and Tasmania’s finest produce and Nick and Aaron’s exceptional cooking.

Everything about Kittawa Lodge encourages relaxation and intimacy. We left feeling restored, refreshed and more connected than ever. I’ve never been more reluctant to leave a place than Kittawa Lodge. We’ll definitely be back.

This trip was long awaited. We initially booked in 2020 but because of the pandemic didn't have the opportunity til now to finally come to Kittawa lodge. But the wait was more than worth it! From the very first meeting Nick and Aaron were superb hosts. The lodge is perfect and very comfortable and has a superb view. In particular, the 4 course dinner provided by Aaron was delicious and worked just as well with the courses being delivered into the lodge instead of being cooked in our presence.
My husband and I had the most wonderful 2 nights and already thinking about when we will return again!

It may have taken me a little while to put my thoughts down here, however Kittawa is still firmly imprinted in my mind. What a beautiful place, accommodation, experience & people.
From the moment we booked this experience, Aaron was so attentive, albeit a 9 month delay before we got there, he was so helpful every time we asked something, including giving us tips on where to go around the island for sightseeing & walks before we had even checked in!
We truly couldn't fault Kittawa, Aaron & Nick have done such an amazing job bringing this to life, we would go back in a heartbeat. The lodges are stunning, capitalizing on the beautiful scenery of King Island with their design.
We enjoyed the package that included all of our daily provisions for food & would highly recommend this - made life so much easier & the produce was incredible.
10/10, we will absolutely be back!

Beautiful and breathtaking.

Originally booked for 2021 & delayed due to Covid we finally made it to Kittawa on 4th attempt. (Stayed in early May)

Aaron and Nick are exceptional hosts. First phone call with Aaron, through to the numerous emails and few more phone calls to reschedule due to COVID border closures, nothing was too much trouble. They genuinely care about their guests and enjoy sharing their beautiful part of the world with us.

We arrived at Kittawa to be greeted by Nick and a platter of beautiful island produce waiting for us for afternoon tea. Nick showed us around our beautifully appointed lodge with exceptional views from the kitchen, dining room, bedroom and bathroom.

We were completely mesmerised by the stunning coastal views that are constantly changing with the weather. Aaron and Nick have thought of absolutely everything, even providing boots and weatherproof jackets.

All our meals were delicious. Thank you Aaron and Nick for providing us local fresh produce with simple easy to follow recipes.

Every day we talk about the beauty of the King Island. Highly recommended.

If you're thinking about a luxury escape, this is it. Your hosts, Aaron & Nick, will go out of their way to make sure your stay is perfect, and it will be. Kittawa Lodge absolutely deserves its 5 start rating. It's truly a magical experience, one we will be talking about for years - we even bought a piece of art from our lodge to remind us of our time at Kittawa Lodge! Highly recommended, Mat & Pip.

We had a wonderfully relaxing time staying at Kittawa Lodge - it is a special place in a uniquely beautiful location. Aaron and Nick were exceptional hosts; organised, knowledgeable and helpful who have put heart and soul into creating a luxurious experience for their guests. All of the food was delicious, and we particularly appreciated the guidance from both Aaron and Nick in planning our itineraries.

We had a beautiful honeymoon at Kittawa. The lodge is spectacularly designed and decorated, and we had some of the best hospitality, service, food and wine we have ever experienced. Everything was amazing, from the big comfy bed, to the bath, to the living spaces. We were able to get lots of rest and relaxation, while also getting out to explore the island. We were spoilt with meals, picnics, and little treats/cakes when we got home from a day out. We were lucky enough to have sunny days, beautiful ocean visits, and we spotted lots of wildlife. It was an experience we will never forget. Highly recommend to all! Katie and Tim:)
