KINGSWAY Bar reviews
21The owner has excellent service and taste in local beers and wine. You can bring your own food from home or takeaways next door to enjoy in a relaxed setting.
Great place to taste some excellent wines and drink cocktails in a relaxed atmosphere. Try the McHenry Red Devil. Good gin selection as well.
Good beverages, good music and good vibes. Would of been 5/5 if had some good beer selections on tap.
Fantastic place to watch comedy and music artists. I went there on saturday night and they had a lovely deal of 2 cocktails for $20 when 1 is $16! Definitely worth a visit to see the lovely art on the walls and bar tenders that are helpful and kind.it's also a rather quiet bar away from the young ones, for more refined and distinguished people.
Could be good good but every time I go there it's just loud with everyone trying to talk over each other & it's not because of the music being too loud because there is basically no music at all. There must be a small portable speaker down the back because you can only hear it if you really try if you're half way down. If you're up the front then forget about music altogether. The whole place would change if you'd just install some speakers & play some music.
This place is great, both barman are absolute legends when it comes to serving up a good drop. You will forget where you parked.
This was my first night out in Launceston. I tried the T-Bone Brewing company's Choc-milk Stout and I loved it. Yum yum! I'll be back for sure. Great Bar Service and nice atmosphere.
Came here for a drink after dinner on a Friday night. It's just a small bar, but the atmosphere was great with the live music. A definite recommendation from me.
Walked in off the street as a tourist looking for a drink. Couple legends behind the bar. Good cocktails, atmosphere and chat
Great location to catch up for some drinks with many, many options available. Staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.
Beautiful bar with a great range of beer and whisky. We received excellent recommendations about our next distillery stops on our way. We'll be back next time in Tasmania.
Safe space, great vibe and stylish decor. Huge drink range, delicious cocktails and friendly staff.
It is great that Launceston has a friendly comfortable bar that you can catch up with great friends while enjoying some of the best drinks. I do love a good G&T.
What a fantastic bar to come hang out and have a few sips. Lee and Jess made it an unforgettable evening, we got to try different beers on tap and delicious food from the truck around the corner. Will surely be back for more. Thank you guys, highly recommend
This was the port in our storm. We had just finished up at the industrial James Boag Brewery tour and needed to see what was happening locally. We were treated to 4 different local beer tasters on the house to help guide our palate and pick the beer we wanted. I felt immediately at home sitting in the comfy seating while chatting with the owner. The venue is beautifully decorated and having Charles Bukowski stare me down as I walked in reminded me of his many quotes including "You have to die a few times before you can really
live. " I felt alive here.
Had a great night at The Kingsway. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Could with a bit more of a selection of beer but I am very selective when it comes to that so they get a pass.
Drinks are a bit pricey though.
All in all I enjoyed myself so I recommended
We had the best New Years here. Bar staff were so friendly. A very clean bar. Warm inside. Good music playing. Wines were only $5 which was great. The cider was delicious too. This bar reminded me of being back in Melbourne city laneways.
During a recent visit to Launceston, I had the pleasure of enjoying a few quiet ales while checking out some fabulous artwork by Fakington Wilde at this establishment. This is an excellent place to chill & do a bit of reflective writing. Apparently they often have local muso's performing so check the gig guide. Great range of ales & very informative customer service.
This is currently my favourite bar in Launceston. It’s almost a secret it is so unobtrusive to the passer by but once inside, The Kingsway has great Tasmanian beer and cider on tap, an inspiring range of spirits and the owner and staff know their products and present not only great service but are genuinely lovely people who make you feel at home at here. There’s Live music on Friday and Saturday nights, film nights held regularly and a fantastic ambience with comfy couches and long tables equipped with stools. I also have a mild addiction to the cheese burgers from The Hungry Bear food van situated just down the street who will deliver your meal to the bar so you can get started on a pint while your burger is sizzling. Highly recommended!
