Kingston Hotel - Bar, Bistro, Gaming & Accommodation

I had dinner at restaurant last night, (13th December 2023).
I ordered and paid for my meal.
After eating my meal I left the restaurant. I was chased down by one of the staff, (named Tileah), who accused me of not paying for my meal. I returned to the counter and told them I had paid for my meal. The 2 young girls checked the till and again told me that I hadn't paid for my meal. I felt degraded and humiliated. I then produced the receipt I was given when I ordered and paid for my meal. I still was not believed. It wasn't until an adult came out and sorted the problem out after looking at my receipt and checking the till. I went to my room and wrote an abridged complaint to the management to which I still have not received a response.
I definitely won't be eating their again during the rest of my stay at the hotel.

On a positive note I can't fault the cleaning staff at the rooms. Very friendly and professional in their duties.

Central location in Kingston, large rooms, simple but adequate amenities. Great value, very quiet.

Didn't stay here.just had a meal.
May I suggest some better, bigger signage directing patrons to the dining room toilets.

Just popped in for a family dinner.

The kids loved the play area while we waited for our meal.
The kids play area included a rock climbing wall, jungle gym, table tennis table, air hockey table and a floor to ceiling chalk board.

Food was competitively priced and every meal was delicious. Finally a pub that still charges pub meal prices!

We hadn't been in over 10 years, having been very disappointed last time we visited. Lots has changed since our previous visit, I'd highly recommend trying these guys out if you have not been for a while.

Very disappointing, tried to get lunch at 1.30 on a Thursday. Told sorry we have too many orders to get through. Noted the restaurant only had about 10 patrons.

Nice place with all facilities in the room and around! Great and friendly staff, received support whenever needed. Highly recommend!

Avoid accomodation. I booked through a third party and got an email asking when we would check in. I wasn't sure because of plans. We showed up at 3pm on a Sunday and found them closed for the next two days. No one to answer calls on any of the lines they have on the outside. Waited about 2 1/2hrs between trying to call them, giving them a chance to call back and dealing with the third party to get us a different place. Never went inside but don't book their accommodation unless you know their hours. Closed on a Sunday and Monday and claims to be a Hotel is shocking. Stay away.

This place is a scam for accommodation. Booked a room through hotels.com the night before arriving. After we paid a no refundable fee it sent us a message to give them 24 hours notice of estimate time of arrival. As traveling we did not know what time we would arrive. Knowing this ahead we would book somewhere else. But could not get refund anymore so decided to show up. After getting here on Sunday we found out the restaurant and everything is closed until Tuesday. We called 3 different numbers multiple times and left messages. After two hours of waiting we gave up. We travel and are used to all kinds of strange situations but this one was by far the worst. Never again and would recommend to avoid.

What a lovely finish to our long day of painting and all we wanted was a lovely pub meal and we certainly got it.
Anna and the team were so warm and friendly as we said we had just moved into the area, she gave us lots of advice, we have found our local. Thank you so much for ending our day on a high.

Clean rooms, very friendly staff. Situated close to Kingston's shopping district and Zap Fitness, who welcome visitors to their well appointed gym. A great place to stay whilst exploring in and around Hobart. I've already booked my next visit.

Absolutely adorable staff. They go beyond to satisfy your requirements. Rooms really clean and cosy. 10 on 10. Definitely recommend and will definitely recommend. For sure will be back on next visit. Sadly leaving back to Melbourne on Sunday. Will sure miss this little heaven.

Meal was nice but very overpriced.
Similar meal in Hobart previous night was $10 cheaper.

Service in the restaurant was exceptional - everyone was friendly and the food was delicuous and value for money:)

The Accommodation was very clean, neat and comfortable for an overnight stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, definitely would stay again if passing through

This place has redeemed itself. Some years back, it was one of the best places to eat in hobart.somewhat recently, the chef changed and the food standard dropped. It seems they have either re-hired their old chef or got another great one because it was fantastic this time.
Also great amenities for the kids - ping pong, air hockey, climbing wall and a separate toddler area.
It was a great night out.

Large affordable, spacious modern rooms, spotlessly clean and highly recommended and will definitely be staying again

All 4 of us enjoyed our meals - Aussie Parmy, Wings, Beef Cheeks and Porterhouse with delicious pepper gravy - great service too - thanks!

Excellent. I lost my wallet staff amazing. After multiple man looks all was good. Had a ripper feed. Pork.tender and juicy plus real mash n vegetables

Excellent service and lovely clean, spacious accommodation that was close to all shops and services. Spent 3 nights here as a base to explore Hobart and Huon Valley/Channel area. Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.

Tasty mains and desserts reported by all of our group. The new kids area has a climbing wall and air hockey tables and there is a small space with a chalkboard and toys for younger kids too. A great family space:)
