Kingborough Community Hub reviews
24Managed by the kingborough council. A beautiful place to hire for community events. A bit expensive but it’s worth the price. Beautiful and clean. Meeting rooms are available as well with tea and coffee provided. Table and chairs are also there. There is a huge park close by with picnic area and loads of swings for kids to enjoy. Plenty of free parking available.
We went here recentl to see the Salvaged Art Exhibition. We saw some really clever, interesting, and imaginative artworks made from recycled materials.
It has a makers market there every month has great stalls around the hub there are plenty of Play ground's for kids of all ages great place to take the grandkids
A perfect place for a conference. Great set.up. Kitchen first class. Toilets very clean.lots of seating in conference room. Excellent autistic and sound from video and movies setup. 10out of ten in my opinion.enjoy.stan b wilkinson APOLITICAL ENJOY
Very sparse however I expect as a 'hose downable' facility it does very well.shame not more welcoming with plants seats etc if a community centre.
Amazing staff, made us feel welcome and comfortable when my son got his covid shots. Also very convenient
Very good place to visit when the markets are on, it has a great park next to it aswell. Lots of good food and drink options aswell.
Had the covid vaccination here, very kind and friendly staff, such a good service especially for us, the older citizens who are more at risk from the virus.
I have just had my first Astra COVID jab here today, well organised and very efficient process. The community hall is well suited for this purpose.
I love this place uts a great community space in the hart off kingston offering locals so many opportunities to do workshops and attenef events u have reamy loved going to kids workshops and markets look them up on Facebook for calender off events
There for a COVID shot - ok set up except for the mouse running along the side wall ledge!
Very stark concrete mess of industrial design with no soul at all. However, given it is built over the top of the cursed old Kingston high school site and all the atrocities committed there for decades, I can kind of see that the bleak, hopeless theme of this development is in tune with the awful nature of the site's history as one of the most violent, oppressive government run state schools ever built in Tasmania.
This site will forever be haunted by the crimes committed by former teachers and we should never forget all the students and their suffering. It was one of the primary reasons the high school was abruptly closed and demolished so fast. It is akin to Kingston's Hellmouth. Just worse, and more real. Lest we forget.
I have been there for Covid vaccinations and 'Travelling Cloaks' exhibition. The space is adaptable, a large level area, easy access and natural lighting.
Way too cold, if its going to be used regularly for immunisation. Particularly for staff and elderly waiting.
Very interesting place and good facilities, working well to unite the community, very nice and efficient management, attend few community get to gather always welcoming and nice atmosphere, happy to be here
What a fantastic venue for community functions. We attended the Four Seasons Market, and found the vendors and customers to be, without exception, friendly, informative and pleased to be open in these trying times. Vivid awareness was high, with hand sanitizer on every stall, Covid tracing forms at the front door, and obvious social distancing practices in place. Excellent work all around!
Nice building. Group of about 20 and it was hard to hear the speaker. I think the hard walls make the sound echo. Otherwise a nice venue.
Great building and facilities but the sun and the wind are at the wrong angles, hopefully the park will fix these issues with trees and play equipment
I come down to Kingborough to do the Kingston Park Parkrun. They base themselves here and it is a nice place to start the run. Even when it is raining on a Saturday morning you can get under cover, which is not always the case at Parkruns. Council has done a good job of providing this state-of-the-art facility for the community. Once all the work is completed around it the centre of Kingston will be really activated. Well done to Council.
Not sure what the point of this extravagant building complex is. Space could have been utilized better.
