7 Tiny, mostly shared sleeping space.
You have the option to skip Kia Ora hut and do a double day, so you have first dibs on the next hut.
Currently a new Kia Ora hut is being built just behind the existing one. Old hut likely to be turned into a rangers hut.
This is a small hut with beds in the same space as living quarters. Would sleep 16 people. We left our packs open in the hut and had some animal (small) had a nibble on our food. So obvious advice seal your pack!
Great little hut in a beautiful location. Plenty of camping areas if the hut is full. Good (cold) creek nearby for a freshen up. Amazing scenery around as you are surrounded by mountain ranges in every direction. Could easily have stayed an extra day there just soaking it all in.
Great hut on the overland track.
If you get the chance do the walk by carrying what you need and supporting yourself you should do that.
Nice hut with good heating. Lots of drying room for gear. Great little creek / river nearby did washing off.
Large, good facilities, good number of rooms and fantastic views. The main area only has one little radiator to warm it, it has no chance during the colder months.
