Kate Reed State Recreation Area reviews
9Great place near town for hiking with different options. We took 3 young kids and explored, whilst also finding some geocaches hidden there.
A great way to spend some alone time on a Saturday. Shati, and Ubar Khabar Road give peace to the mind. Gharwala Gharwali Must go to spend time alone
Mtb tracks there are good but to be completely honest the government should put much more money into this place cause there are so many young kids getting into riding but the tracks there are quite boring. They should ad some good jump tracks to lighten this place up!
Such as fabulous place with its trails. Unfortunately, last week's snow storm has brought trees down over the track so it isn't as great as it normally is. However, when it has been cleaned up it will be great again. It's certainly worth a visit and you'll enjoy the walks.
Kate Read Reserve is a wonderful place to visit to get outside. With many shared tracks for walking, mountain bike riding, running as well as plenty of biking only tracks. For those interested in wildlife there are many bird species here as well as, echidnas, wombats, wallabies, kangaroos and many other animals.
You could even geocache here as there are over a dozen caches to find.
You can easily spend a day here exploring the many tracks.
Just about my favourite spot to ride MTB in Launceston.
Nice loops, good intermediate trails. Easy place to knock out 20km in the morning.
Want an adventure walk. Take the dogs here.
Watch out for the snakes in summer.
You don't want to put a tiger in your tank.
Great place to get out in nature and explore all the tracks it has to offer, and you dont have to travel far from launceston to get there.
Well maintained trails although getting boney in places good variety in a small area can ride for an hour without hitting the same trail twice
