Jansz Tasmania reviews
15 My partner and I recently attended the vineyard as part of a private tour at the Jansz vineyard, Tasmania with it most definitely being the highlight of the day!
The professionalism of the staff coupled with their level of knowledge and expertise were outstanding.
I hope I have their names correct, Dan and Jose had us feel welcomed and of importance from the moment of our arrival. Their attention to detail and customer service was 6 star!
I would like to also thank Jan from "Tamar Valley Food and Wine Tours" for all is wisdom and
allowing us to immerse in our Jansz experience.
We visited Jansz a few days ago, while on vacation (& our honeymoon) from South Australia.
From the moment we rolled the rental car into the carpark, we felt warmly welcomed by the staff, in particular Dan who was our winery host. Dan was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the wines and winemaking process, but also extremely engaging & conversational about life in general. We enjoyed a flight of bubbles (DELICIOUS), cheese platter & some coffees, along with a few laughs, and took a few bottles home with us. Special shout out & thanks to Dan at Jansz for such a wonderful, warm experience.
Best wishes to all for 2024.

Beautiful views, great sparkling wines and nice merchandise. Jansz sparkling wines are some of the best in the country! It was worthwhile visiting the cellar door to learn more about their range and enjoy the experience of their tasting while looking out at the spectacular view in the warmth and comfort of the indoor tasting area.
We did a tasting, if your purchase bottles of wine the tasting fee is not redeemable. Friendly services, they had great knowledge on the wines that they were serving.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly, attentive staff. Great range of sparklings. Definitely get the cheese platter! Such a great price with a fantastic range of local produce.
Since visiting Tasmania and tasting Jantz bubbly I can no longer drink any other wine. Thank you all at the winery. Cheers
Jansz is incredible. I had the best experience at the wine room, and the customer service was amazing. One of the best tastings I’ve ever had in Australia.
We had a wonderful Hostess who made us feel very welcome. We all enjoyed our tastings and made some purchases. The platters going past looked appetising.
(Just a minor gripe, it would have been nice to not have to pay for the tasting if we made a purchase like many other wineries do.)
What a great stay we had, soft luxurious bed, dinner overlooking the dam and vineyard, all while watching the sunset. The range of sparkling wine (champagne) was amazing. Everyone needs to come here on their wine tour of the region.
Jansz was really delightful. Emma was knowledgeable and we came away from our tasting really happy and satisfied and full of bubbles.
We were welcomed so warmly by Emma on walking in the door. The wine tasting is excellent with really good information on the characteristics of the wines. We coupled that with a delicious cheese board of local and Tasmanian products, all sitting overlooking the vines and lake with geese. The wines are top rate and hard to make a choice which we liked best.
You can choose between two tastings: three complimentary sparklings which will give you a great idea of what they are doing or 6 for 10 AUD. Options are great, flavors are outstanding and the cheese platter at this spot is the best I had in Tassie.
Big recommendation for every sparkling wine fan!
Worst experience. Terribly disappointed with the attitude of staff. After driving 3-1/2 hours from Hobart, we arrived and entered according to the signage out the front. We went into Pipers Brook, thinking it was Jansz, only to find it was no longer associated with Jansz. When we got to Jansz at 4: 40pm, a staff member came to the door and said ‘sorry luv we’re closed’. We’re from SA and this was our one chance. Won’t be back and won’t ever drink your wine again. Why bother having a cellar door if you just want to close it in your customer’s face and go home at 4: 30?
Cellar door opened 20 minutes late and no Tamar Valley shipping available. Not worth the trouble compared to the quality of everybody else.
