Jam Packed Cafe reviews
58Loved the ambience both inside and at the rear! The waiting staff was very welcoming and presented us with vegetarian options. Recommended some changes to the order and the portions were really good. Loved the place
Let me tell you….
After a long walk and a trip around Hobart we ended up very hungry and we were very glad to find this superb cafe, we had sandwiches, yummy vegetable soup, hot chips and nice and warm teas. We were attended by two lovely ladies who were very accommodating and very friendly. We were delighted to enjoy gluten free options as 4 of us are coeliacs. Thank you all!
Great place for breakfast and lunch. Love the relish, wife loves the coffee. Very good service considering how busy they get, love the atmosphere
It’s time Jam Packed closed. The most appalling service in Hobart, waited 35 minutes to be served by a rude waitress and ended up getting take away dry banana bread. We had to ask for it to be toasted warm. No butter / cutlery was offered. Staff have zero care factor and no service skills. The main waitress lady is rude. We had to ask for menus. Another waitress was too busy collecting dirty glasses instead of collecting orders. She said she “was busy” in front of a male owner but couldn’t care less about diners when he wasn’t there. Don’t waste your time going here. Such a shame it’s bringing IXL reputation down. 0/10
Planned to have lunch at this lovely cafe, but had to change plans because of a very rude waitress. She was extremely unpleasant and rude. We had eaten there in the previous x2 days with no problem due to different staff on duty. She needs to find a job more suitable e.g morgue attendant. This occurred today 30/8/23 at about 1 45 ish. She had her hair pulled back. Would love some feedback from the owner of Jam Packed.
Great food and friendly and efficient service. Only negative was it is more expensive than the average.
Very expensive. $5.20 for a piccolo and $. 70 for oat milk (in a piccolo!). Won’t be going here again.
Nice surroundings inside the bare factory.
Quite overpriced however.
Bit quiet.
Good for a large tourist group.
Service was great.
Super sweet waitress with understanding heart. Grateful for her kindness and to try and help me as I was feeling a little under the weather this morning and in a rush.
Appreciate the kindness of the waiter also.
Lovely soup too:)
Inside the IXL building is this great cafe. Amazing little sheltered area out the back with lounge chairs so you can relax and enjoy your cuppa.
Had delicious breakfasts while in Hobart for a few days. Great coffee and service. Highly recommend
Best burger I've personally had at a restaurant: fresh veggies, great soft bun melty cheese and unbelievably juicy patty! Great atmosphere with art galleries and installations all around. Clean outdoor area too. Great experience and thanks
Cannot fault the coffee, on holidays staying at Zero Davey, been a couple of times could maybe be a touch hotter but taste and service aok
Brunch at Jam Packed Hobart was delicious! Teens absolutely loved the beef burger with chips. According to Mr 14, it was the best burger ever! He went up to the kitchen & complimented the chef. Amazing ambience, fabulous food, perfect location
Thanks for your delicious food and friendly, great service when looking after our large group.
Nice place and nice coffee, but too expensive…. Our round of coffee was about 20% more than expected, and we didn’t even order breakfast as eggs on toast was $24.50!
We got off a cruise from Sydney to Tasmania and decided to grab a cup of coffee. I walked in the coffee shop and was greeted by the rudest waitress I have ever met. The attitude on this lady was out if this world. Instead of being nice and hospitable (since majority of their business im guessing us coming from the cruise passengers), she was rude, angry and unprofessional.
Anyways so I ordered 2 coffees and a muffin. After waiting around 15 minutes for then I got uo and went to the bench to ask how long, at this stage she (short black hair lady) yelled and said it's gone be 5 minutes and for me to go take a seat.
As we were about to lose our shuttle tour, I told her we are in a bit of a rush after 17 minutes of waiting. She ignored us again.
I ended up leaving without my coffee and muffin and they didn't even refund my money.
Worst experience I have ever had.
Lovely location and a nice chill atmosphere for a casual meal. Seating both inside and outside at the back. Service was good and the staff were very accommodating with our seating move and custom order.
Great location! Beautiful large cafe that opens up to an atrium, hot meals & cakes, most importantly Perfect coffee! Friendly staff.
Poached eggs were perfect, as was the hollandaise. However, $20 for a mimosa? $30 for eggs Benedict, $25 for a breakfast burrito? We both found hair in our meals and when we notified waitstaff we got a disbelieving look even after showing the hairs. We won't ever go back because of the pricing, which is obscene.
