No food just exceptional drinks and service.
Matt is an absolute champion behind the bar.
He recommended the Island of Fire whiskey cocktail to me and it was the best drink I've had.

After being at the taste came in for a cocktail and took about 20 minutes to get a drink was told abrubtly by the ugly barmaid to have a seat! In that room had a pillow fight with some patrons all in good fun! We were then lectured and told to drink a glass of water before we could have our ordered and paid for cocktail which had the tide out.not impressed!

Lovely spot to sit and enjoy a gin and tonic. If u want less noise to chat, go to the red lounges in the dining area

Absolutely amazing tonight! The vibe, the band and the staff were all incredible. We came for a couple drinks before dinner and ended up cancelling our reservation to stay and watch the band and have a few cocktails. HUGE shout out to Matt, Jenn and Julie for taking such good care of us tonight

Just popped into the Long Bar after a chilly boat trip - they made me the best Irish coffee, feeling much warmer now!

Found this place by accident but had a fantastic night, live music on the weekends great atmosphere and excellent bar staff.

Enjoy small plates and cocktails or just a cool beer. Often hosting talented Jazz Musicians or even an opera trained singer. Hobart's oldest street laced with sandstone romance. IXL Bar has wonderful friendly staff highly trained and eager to enhance your Hobart Experience.

Had a great night there with my partner. The two piece band were looking for ideas and played every request with gusto!
The two magnificent bartenders kept us plied with some of the finest cocktails, rum and whisky I've had. On tap was a seasonal beer that I fell in love with.
The venue is cosy, and comfortable. The bar - with lights under glass - shows off the skill of the bartenders with a reflective glow. The crowd a slightly older one. An easy ace to have a conversation without trying to shout over the top of music or other folk. One of the highlights of my visit to Hobart

Definitely five star. Signature cocktails are fantastic in flavor. Easy to get dizzy - in a good way. Love the trio performance.

We were a bit chilly & asked for a cocktail to warm us up! The barmen all enthusiastic. Had a fab hot whiskey. They encouraged us to come back the next night to hear the jazz band, so we did. Highly recommend

Ordered a dry Martini and it came out wet so i Ordered a dirty Martini and it seemed pretty clean to me. Fewer than impressed.

Ordered a $26 toasted Club sandwich. The "toast" is completely white (non toasted). I sent it back and 10 minutes later, I get exactly the same! I drink here every Friday for 4 years. Very disappointed. For a high end hotel to get such a basic item so wrong to be inedible I'm shocked. Expensive Club sandwich, badly done. Skip the food.

Excellent range of spirits. Staff with great knowledge and extremely friendly. Expensive but high quality is worth it. 5 star bar, but be prepared to wait for your drink

Better than average hotel bar. It's quite small so you might end up sitting outside or in the hotel lobby. Good cocktails and friendly staff. Live music was great, perfect volume and ambiance. On the expensive side.

Beautiful vibe, bartenders are amazing, cocktails are delicious, if you have a specific cocktail preference not on the menu, ask the bartenders and they’ll hook you up with some deliciousness, highly recommend
