Island Eden PTY Ltd reviews
7Excellent accommodation with a super good breakfast. Others might not like it, but we appreciated that breakfast was brought the night before and kept in the fridge. It was very extensive. The host gave very good tips for excursions and localities.
My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying here. It was a last minute booking from us, but boy were we lucky. Greeted with a smile and shown through our digs for the next few nights. Looked amazing and was every bit how it looked. Great view from our deck and great hospitality. A great B&B. I would say the only negatives (all in jest) was the "Breakfast" supplied was enough food for 3 meals and I felt bad not being able to eat more of it, and secondly, being a Queenslander, my wife was not able to abduct a bunny and take home
Ignorant and racist receptionist.
We are Australian citizens of Indian origin who have been in Australia contributing positively to the Australian system for 15 years.
We were quite taken aback by the response from the receptionist when I called checking for accomodation.
I introduced myself politely by name and before I could even ask a question, the receptionist disconnected the phone saying “I’m busy” It took us a second to realise that she assumed that I was a telemarketer.
I was furious and called back to call her out and spoke to the manager.
Although the receptionist called back to apologise, she made an excuse that she was “on the toilet” instead of actually owning up to her mistake.
We were disappointed with this behaviour and we recommend that other Indian-Australians to not support this organisation.
Amazing place, the owner Robert was really helpful and generous. The sunset and sunrise view at the spring bay is was breathtaking. Highly recommended place for couples, would have loved to stay longer! 10/10 would recommend.
We came off the ferry after three nights on Maria island with aching feet and sore backs. The sauna and steam was magnificent and put us into a deep and dreamless slumber. When daylight came, breakfast in bed with a sunrise view of Spring Bay took our breath away. Perfection.
We had a fantastic stay at Island Eden, and Robert was a warm and friendly host. Some other reviewers need a reality check; this is not a 5-star chain hotel. Rather, Island Eden is a perfect break between Hobart and Freycinet National Park, with stunning views across Spring Bay, and reflects the owner's style. Our 'Deck Room' was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable, with tea, coffee, snacks and a thoughtful continental breakfast consisting of pastries, breads, cold meats, yoghurt, fruit and more. Water views from bed also didn't hurt.
There is a beautiful indoor pool and spa from where you can watch the sun set in total luxury. Triabunna is only 5 minutes drive away, so grab some take away fish and chips and sit on the deck while taking in the bird sounds and stunning views.
My husband and I traveled to Tasmania to experience the Great Eastern Drive, and this was our first stop after flying into Hobart. We weren't sure what to expect but, we were beyond pleasantly surprised. We were thrilled! The location is just gorgeous (as seen from the gorgeous sunset we experienced from the room), with views of the water. It was breathtakingly tranquil and quiet, with little bunny rabbits hopping around and felt like we had the place to ourself. The hosts were genuinely kind and cared about our stay. The breakfast they supplied us with was above and beyond! The first night they brought us so many different types of bread, pastries, meat, cheese, and fruits to enjoy. We ended up making sandwiches for our trip to Maria Island in the morning. Arriving back later in the arvo, we found they had replenished everything and gave us extras of what we had eaten the most of. Attention to detail was amazing and so hospitable. The pool and hot tub looked fabulous, though we never did get the chance to try it out for ourselves. The room itself was clean, modern and the bed was SO comfy. This a must-book, friends. ENJOY!
