Iron House Brewery reviews
51We arrived 1 minute before the kitchen closed and they happily accommodated us. To top it off the seafood was some of the freshest I’ve ever had at a restaurant. 5/5
This joint is unreal. The beer is fantastic, wine is delicious and they have some of the best chips I’ve had. They also have free camping for self contained RV’s plus fire pit, pool and laundry. Do yourself a favour.
Understaffed to the wazoo. Completely inappropriate to staff a restaurant on the weekend with 2 staff. A simple salad took over an hour to arrive. Average tasting at very best.
The views, the paddles, gift shop and a restaurant next door to get something to eat. Service was great, loved there wines and the cocktail paddle was delicious.
Great spot, nice and friendly staff as well
Tasting paddles of local beers and whisky were good value, the meals were really nice, oysters killpatrick were 10/10
A definite to visit if your in the area
Absolutely worth a visit. Very special to sit tasting beers and wines with a cheese platter, overlooking the beach. Very friendly barman. Great value and the ginger beer was to die for. I didn’t realise it was alcoholic till I tasted it. Thanks Iron House.
We were going for a Sunday lunch. Lady who greeted us was so rude, decided just to leave and go elsewhere.
Wow, what a great place - beer, wine & spirits.something for everyone, thanks Chrissy, you made our tastings all the more interesting & we enjoyed them all!
Such a nice spot! If you are driving along the coast, treat yourself for a quick stop for the view and a refreshing drink.
Had a taster beer pallet, and the milk stout was our favourite, others didn't impress us personally that much. Also, grabbed one of the small batch gin and tonics for later, sounds very interesting!
We shared the 500g prawns and a garden salad.
Prawns ($30) were huge. Nice sauce.
Salad- only $8 - also huge and very tasty.
Friendly service and really nice coastal view.
Absolutely every campers dream.
Quiet grassed area with private spaces. Walk to beach to swim or in their pool at nominal fee till 3pm. Laundry facilities available at coin cost. Great eating choices at Cafe or restaurant and tasting brew platter was fantastic value for money as well as taste sensation.
Highly recommended.
Glad I dropped by saw a lovely lunch menu. Absolutely loved the fish and chips. Great for folks who like gummy sharks for their Fish and Chips which is fabulous. Spacious place.
Didn't really enjoy their IPA and XPA though. Recommend the pilsner if you prefer a softer, smoother and fruitier finish.
Great food, service, knowledgeable and friendly staff - and seriously damn good whisky - make the Iron House Brewery a mandatory (and welcome) stop for anyone visiting the east coast of Tassie. As the great man said, 'I'll be back'.
Restaurant was okay, food was nice but a bit pricey. Squid was good. Found out other main far to salty, was almost inedible. The melting moment biscuit was a must though.
Very accommodating staff, they made me a cold coffee even though they normally only do hot coffees. They were super polite and friendly too. The beer tasting platter was very reasonably priced and tasty! The prawn bucket was super delicious and prawns were super clean and vivid in colour. Calamari was cooked to perfection and the side salad had all the tasty veggies. Definitely coming here again! Oh and super pretty views just to top it off!
The only let down at this place is the aesthetic of the building itself. Otherwise, terrific wine and beer (didn't taste the distillery products), friendly service and good bar pricing. Gorgeous view of the coast and RV camping in the carpark. I'll definitely be taking a bottle of pinot noir and rose with me.
The restaurant itself boasts a beautiful view but unfortunately the service does not match the view. The waitresses, specifically the one with bleached silver hair and long fake nails was intensely rude. Not only was she rude, she was wearing wireless headphones. We were a birthday dinner and almost 20 people so you would have thought maybe there would be some sort of general nice treatment at least. We were seated at different tables, and fed dinner at completely different times. When we were speaking amongst ourselves l, this waitress proceeded to shout at us from the bar, and then when we were finally given dinner, slammed our food down in front of us. Extremely unprofessional service and quite frankly we are very unimpressed as we left feeling absolutely terrible and it was a massive let down for the birthday grandma The lamb shank was divine, the salmon was very over cooked to the point it was white. I do not believe any of us will be returning again.
Great location, views, restaurant, beer and service. An inspiration for the east coast, and the very best of what this region has to offer.
WOW what a Fantastic Restaurant and Brewery, Had the Porterhouse steak with Surf and Turf, cooked to perfection, well worth going for a Meal and a weekend at White Sands Estate.
Ginny is an absolute gem! Very professional with exceptional customer service. Thank you for making our visit so amazing Ginny!
