A perfect place to get away from the city. We stayed in the streamside cabin and loved it. I'd just suggest having some dry leaves or humus available to use in the compost toilet. We highly recommend and will definitely stay there again.

My favourite place to escape from the world for a couple days. The campsites are private, the toilets, showers, and camp kitchen are clean and well maintained. There’s some beautiful rainforest walks and even an outdoor bath and hammocks to star gaze in! It’s only 40 mins from Hobart. There’s a sheltered social area with a fire pit. I even got to listen to a lyre bird yesterday whilst sitting by the fire. Also! Check out this green mushroom! It’s a very good environment for any novice mycologists!

Luxury in a secluded bush retreat complete with an outdoor bath and furry visitors. Loved the luxurious touches in the soft furnishings and the candles, and the very comfortable bed. Can't thank Michael enough for accommodating us and making us feel so welcome. What a treat.

Amazing property. My girlfriend and I stayed in the Big Tree cabin. We purchased the optional breakfast for two extra which was well worth it! Such a peaceful cabin. We used the outdoor bath on the deck which was piping hot and used the bubblebath provided. Very very comfy bed. The woodheater was so cozy and warm. With plenty of firewood.
Amazing stay. Friendly owner greeted us with our breakfast basket and shared some info with us re the wildlife and was very helpful. Lots of big screen windows nestled right in the gorgeous forest. We did a short walk to the little falls which looped back towards the start.
Just a couple of things for feedback.
You will most likely need an all wheel drive to get up the hill to reception and the cabin and the walks. My girlfriend got stuck in her car attempting to get up the hill. Not on any info we saw online did it say anything about difficulties about the driveway. Lucky i have an AWD and my GF left her car down the hill. The only other thing is our sliding doors out to the deck need some attention, as they were hard to open/close and the screen door wasn't smooth on the roller. I did notice the absence of hand soap/wash in the bathroom area, but we just used the shower body wash for hands too.
Even with these little things, we would recommend this cabin for a cozy, peaceful and romantic couples getaway.

We stayed in a East side Tent site. Lovely location nestled between huge trees
Affordable tent site. Michael was super helpful and went out of the way to help us. Will recommend 100%

This was a great find and was perfectly located for our wine tasting and hiking adventures. The walking tracks nearby were a terrific addition and we did them a few times. Pamela was lovely and even helped us organise some local travel and transfers. It’s 4km of dirt road leading into it but the cosy eco lodges, the views (and the outside bath) definitely make it worth the trip. Highly recommended.

Our stay at Huon Bush Retreat more than lived up to the promise of relax, explore, experience, nature! We took in the beautiful views and fresh air and relaxed deeply in the luxurious amenities of the eco cabin. The cabin was very clean and comfortable and spectacular views of the rain forest. The cabin has a beautiful balcony and outdoor bath for taking in the beautiful views and listening to the local bird life.
We explored the short and long walks of the rain forest and experienced the intriguing flora and abundant fauna. The trek would not disappoint anyone for scenic value of rain forest and Mount Misery. And nature spoiled us with beautiful summer days.
Staff were friendly and helpful ensuring we had everything we needed and answered all our questions.
Its perfect location, its not far from Mount Misery, Huonville, Hobart, Bruny Island.
Its highly recommended it for a good choice of accommodation and I will definitely come back.

Very nice place for camping or glamping!
All clean and well maintained. Friendly owner but we're you come for; the walks!
The hidden falls are close and have informative shields about water and forrest.
The big walk to mount Misery is nice, 4 different landscapes in one walk.
Go and grab a coffee and nibbles at the awsome summerkitchen in Renalagh, it's only a 10mins drive.have fun!

I had the most wonderful time at the Huon Bush retreats for my cousins 40th birthday festival last weekend. I stayed in one of the teepees and it was very well appointed! Comfortable bed. Lovely fireplace inside. Veranda. I even had reception! I was toasty and warm with all the blankets they provided too. Great camp kitchen for us all to share. I loved the outdoor bath! Wonderful walks around the campsite as well as up to the waterfall and lightning tree. Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of my stay! Pamela was so accommodating and took very good care of us all! Absolutely highly recommend this wonderful place to stay. So many options. Camping, Tipi, cabin, house! Everything you could need depending on your requirements and interests.something for everyone!

I had a birthday weekend at Huon Bush Retreats. I cannot speak highly enough of Pamela and Mick the owners and also of the absolute beauty of the place. It is unique and wonderful. The outdoor baths are so relaxing and special too. As are the many feathered and furry friends. Will definitely be back

A wonderful experience within nature. Certainly a more Tasmanian/Australian feel to glamping, the grounds offer the feel of camping with a hint of luxury having close by amenities and kitchen facilities (we stayed in the teepee). The owners were lovely and I always find it a nice touch to see the owners of places like this about and recognise the hard work they must put into the place. During the evening we were able to meet the paddy melons who were very comfortable with the public and the possums who were eager to get into anything that might be food - the owners gave us a heads up about this. You will see some creepy crawlers too however that’s the beauty of being amongst nature. The teepee certainly looked a lot nicer than the photos posted online which was an added bonus.

Had such a great experience in the tipi! The owners are super lovely, we got there late and they had our fire going to warm the tipi up for us. Awesome wildlife roaming around and it's in a beautiful location. Would definitely stay here again

Stayed here last month on my first trip to Tasmania. As a self rated 4 star stay we were very dissapointed with our stay, the house wasn't kept well (cobwebs and dust), things were installed incorrectly/DIY (usb charger, taps and toilet). There was a wasp nest on the front of the cabin with no care after reporting to the property manager (I am also allergic). The key was very bent and on the second day snapped off into the lock. Very dated building and the website was hard to navigate - only seeing that there is no electricity available after booking (non-refundable). The owner wasn't very friendly after arriving and stated on the phone during booking that the driveway was a little steep. He mocked previous guests for getting stuck and upon arriving the driveway is very extreme. We were very lucky that we have a 4x4 and were experienced drivers.

Beautiful, well maintained property! We enjoyed our stay in the campervan spot and appreciated the outdoor bath with amazing star gazing and the well equipped camp kitchen. We wish we could have stayed longer!

We stayed in the clifftop cabins,
The Scenery was awesome, being able to see the wildlife from the balcony was also awesome.the house was exceptionaly clean and tidy with having all the admities such as soap and a towel at hand was good.
Getting up the drive way was a bit sketchy anyone with a non 4wd will probably struggle.

Stayed here for the night and oh my goodness it's a breath of fresh air, if you want to just exit from the world for a bit this is the perfect place to do so, the wildlife are astonishingly friendly even if they try open your door or steal your dinner most definitely made for a great laugh! But 10 out of 10 by far the best accommodation I've stayed in

We booked this accommodation through air bnb and it was completely misrepresented through the photos listed: it was implied that there were child -friendly facilities, outdoor bathtub on the deck and a bed for our 3 year old. When in fact there were cushions to create a makeshift bed for our child and the ‘deluxe teepee’ was about 1m squared, and the path to the public bathrooms was steep, muddy and full of tree roots, which was a hazardous environment for our child so upon paying $200, despite there being an available cabin, asked us to pay another 150$ just to be put into a cabin suitable for our child. He then quipped that our costs were to cover his $30,000 per year costs towards the nature reserve. Despicable service and discriminatory hospitality.

Love this place! Sleeping at the middle of the bush around all the wildlife! We feel so lucky to be here! On the top of this you can have a very nice bushwalk in the morning! Nice kitchen to have brekky or dinner! Hot water it's also here! Perfect for bush lovers!
