More Yucks than Luxe. Unfortunately upon arrival for a 2 night stay we discovered the toilet was leaking. This was reported to reception. Someone came and wrapped a towel around the base of the toilet and that's how it stayed until we checked out. This was not pleasant. Most would expect the establishment would find you somewhere else to stay, or maybe reduce the rate, or offer a bottle of wine, or anything at all to make up for it. That's not how they work. Instead you get charged over 800 dollars for 2 nights at full rate and just have to deal with it. You will find the bathroom sink is slow to drain, the tables all scratched, carpet fraying and nails sticking up on the deck. Our room also had a shared entry with the apartment next door. Once again unfortunately for us they had a lot of noisy visitors coming and going with the door slamming and their chats nice and loud in the entry late in the evening and first thing in the morning. The view is excellent. The diy breakfast supplies are very nice. After reading all the glowing reviews the reality was a massive and expensive disappointment.

This is the best place to stay in Stanley. Stayed again for my birthday here and they made it extra special with carefully layed down heart shaped flower petals and balloons. Exceptional & lovely team & this luxe place is highly recommended.

Stayed here for couple of nights and loved it. This place has a million dollar view of the nut. One of the best views in stanley I'd say. The room was lovely and comfortable, with full breakfast provided in the room.

This accommodation is spectacular. We were greeted to a warm and opulent room and a dreary cold day. The views were breathtaking. The lovely touches of breakfast provision were excellent. Snuggling up on the couch watching the rain pass with a glass of wine was the perfect way to end our Tasmanian holiday. We want to recommend this to everyone but also keep it a secret because we hope to return again one day.

I rarely post reviews but I'm this case, it felt wrong if I didn't. This place has to be one of the best accommodations I have stayed (avid traveller myself) and beats most 5 star city accommodation at this price point.

The rooms are large, very well equipped with a fantastic view of the town centre. Breakky is all sorted in the fridge which is a nice touch and emergency food in the freezer if you find yourself stuck without dinner. Stanley is a fantastic town, hidden gem. My only regret is that we didn't stay bere longer. Will definitely be back!

Stunning place to stay. Even worth a few extra hours of driving just to come here if you weren’t planning

Great views and environment however the only downfall was no spare pillows and the bed is extremely soft which is no good if you have any back problems

Seriously, we dropped our jaws when we entered the apartment. We stayed here for 25th Dec Christmas Day (which is today!) and im already typing this review! Im also surprise to find out the eggs, bacon, yogurt, milk, bread, cereals etc are complimentary! We also brought our own food to cook for dinner as nothing is open on Christmas day. The kitchen and utensils are clean.

The balcony is amazing, overlooking the stunning view of Stanley. The lower part of the sofa can be extended so you can straighten your legs. There is also a bath tub by the balcony. Although the furniture / style is not the most “modern” but still, the overall standard of this place is very high and I would highly recommend it!

Amazing views and room set up for a romantic little hideaway. Having a spa overlooking the ocean was pretty spectacular and we would definitely recommend it. I am a fan of having breakfast cooked for me but the cook-your-own breakfast was cute.
The only thing I would say needs changing is the mini bar. There are no price lists or mention of a mini bar and the mini bar stuff is in the same spot as the complimentary breakfast supplies so it could be easy to use confuse them and get charged.
Overall, excellent place and would absolutely come back.

Incredible. Perfect set up for a weekend away, worth the high price easily. Great service and amazing set up. Not really walking distance from Stanley but still incredible. Great in-room breakfast and incredible rooms.

An absolute beautiful view and location. Inside the place was upscale modern. Breakfast supplies. Just loved the bath tub with a view and shelf for my wineglass. Would go back again and again if not for the distance. 10,000km.

Extremely lux with spa and all of the room overlooking Stanley. Warm, supreme couch, comfy bed. Huge bathroom and trendy. Kitchen was better than any with food and drinks included for brekky. Recommend.

A beautiful location with amazing views but also secluded as you want to be. Highly recommended

We stayed here for one night in August 2016.
Everything was a breeze - from check-in to check-out.
Lovely to have a range of breakfast provisions supplied, and everything required to support cooking in the apartment provided.
Attention to detail was lovely, I'd have no hesitation recommending them to anyone looking for a getaway with a view.
Only point to note for potential guests is note that reception is not 24 hours (as you would expect in a country town), so ensure you co-ordinate any late arrivals. We made it with 30 mins to spare after meandering our way there from Launceston.

Our stay at the Horizon "Deluxe" Apartments was not pleasant at all.
After witnessing a multitude of filth & uncleanliness at the apartments we were treated with utter rudeness by the caretaker - CLINT after we asked for our room to be cleaned.
The balcony windows were filled with squiggles & pictures written by others hands in the frost, those particular hand drawings were of rude conotations. The bed was not clean & contained hair follicles from others before us & we also spotted a dead fly or 2 left stuck on the walls.
Even though the apartments contained traces of filth & dirt we were still satisfied to stay there providing the room would be cleaned. After an annoying confrontation with CLINT about the apartments hygiene - it was his rudeness, ignorance, mentality, stupidity & negotiation skills that brought us to the conclusion to stay ONLY 1 night & never go back there as long as we lived!
I certainly hope they have cleaned up their act - literally, because the only thing these apartments have going in their favor is the hilltop views.

Although we had activities planned during our visit to Stanley, every time we returned after a long day the views from Horizon Deluxe Apartments never got tiring. No matter if you’ve opened the balcony door to a cool morning or are shutting the electric blinds to a clear night full of stars, the views, in my opinion, are the best you will find from any accommodation in Stanley.

The outdoor balcony and surrounding have enough space to enjoy eating Al Fresco style, while still having plenty of privacy from the other apartments. A full breakfast was provided for every morning with a wide selection of foods to satisfy even the biggest eaters.

Breakfast included bread, croissants, jam, bacon, eggs, sausages, orange juice and milk, plus more than enough Muesli, Weetabix and Cornflakes for the two of us. To complement the breakfast, there was a selection of tea and surprisingly good coffee from the machine in the kitchen.

The staff were excellent to deal with from the moment we contact them via email, then throughout our stay once we arrived. Then again, it’s not like we had to request much.

We stayed in the Godfrey apartment.
